Unlike Drew had thought, during and after all his daily activities and his self-imposed mandatory three-hour sleep for the night, he couldn’t stop thinking about the Thurman pack’s human sacrifice.
Feeling a little anxious, he decided to visit his mother in response to her summons the previous night.
When he got to his mother’s room, he knocked out of courtesy, even though he knew that she knew he was standing at the door.
“Come in, son.”
He walked into her room to find her sitting on her bed, cross-legged, gazing at a picture. When he moved closer, he realized that there were other pictures on her bed.
