Aiden followed Damien into the private lounge, his eyes widening at the lavish interior. Soft lights, plush sofas, and intricate décor made the space feel like a world apart from the noisy club.
“Wow… this place is amazing. I can’t believe such a place exists in a clubhouse,” Aiden whispered to himself, barely noticing Damien pouring drinks from a sleek bottle.
“Have a seat,” Damien said smoothly, gesturing to the sofa. “Try some.”
Aiden hesitated. “I… I can’t take much. I’m lightweight, and this looks strong.” He offered a small, nervous smile.
Damien chuckled. “Chickened out?”
“No! I’m just… saying I won’t overdo it,” Aiden shrugged.
“Fair enough. Just don’t push yourself. You look too… delicate for heavy drinking,” Damien teased, his gaze lingering a moment too long.
They drank in silence for a while, the faint clink of glasses filling the space. Aiden’s eyes wandered, and he noticed details he hadn’t before: tall candles flickering on a shelf, a collection of peculiar items tucked neatly in drawers, and strange, provocative paintings on the walls.
His curiosity was insatiable. “What’s the meaning of that painting?” he asked, pointing to an image of several men together, an expression of intimacy in every brushstroke.
Damien smirked. “It’s open to interpretation… for those who understand.”
Aiden’s pulse quickened. He felt both intrigued and nervous under Damien’s watchful gaze, but he couldn’t resist. His fingers brushed over some of the items in the drawer. “And… what are these for?”
Damien leaned closer, his presence overwhelming. “Would you like me to explain?”
Aiden nodded, gulping down the last of his drink. He couldn’t deny the pull he felt toward Damien, nor the thrill that rose in his chest.
Damien’s eyes sparkled with mischief as he moved closer. “Are you sure you want to know?” he whispered, voice low and teasing. Aiden felt a shiver run down his spine.
For a moment, the room seemed to shrink around them. Every glance, every subtle touch, and every whispered word sent Aiden’s heart racing. He felt nervous, exhilarated, and… strangely drawn to this man who was equal parts dangerous and alluring.
As Damien guided him through the room, showing the items and discussing them in vague, tantalizing hints, Aiden’s curiosity only grew. He couldn’t tell if it was fear, excitement, or attraction that made his heart beat faster, but he knew one thing for certain: he wanted to stay, wanted to see where this connection might lead.
By the time Aiden realized how much time had passed, the alcohol and the teasing tension had loosened his usual caution. Damien’s presence was intoxicating—commanding, magnetic, and impossible to ignore. And deep down, Aiden knew that tonight was only the beginning of something that could change his life forever.
