Jessica peeked at the man sitting beside her in the car from time to time. She was confused by his behaviour at Green’s mansion a while ago. He asked her what she called him, and when she said that word again, he got angry. Didn't he want to hear that word? She knew that he was putting on a show in front of David and his family of being a caring and loving husband, and she played along with him. The sudden change in his behaviour confused her completely.
Then why on earth was he angry, as if someone had snatched his most precious thing? He had so many things to do in the office, yet he decided to go home with her. She sighed internally when she didn’t get what was going on inside his mind.
