A loud roar erupted as they stepped out onto the balcony and Brandon waved. Lyra tried to wave, but she was still incredibly weak. She felt Brandon’s arm snake around her back, and it gave her just that little bit of a boost that she needed to give the people one proper wave.
Brandon grinned as he looked at her and she took a deep breath. His scent enveloped her, and she couldn’t understand why she hesitated about him previously. Everything she used to see as important had changed. Her entire life changed on that one night.
