Chapter 58: Not Right.

A student was pushed to the wall. The impact of his back and the hard concrete made a bang. The student hissed because of it. Lucas was towering in front of him. His face was nonchalant as ever. “Please-Guys! We could figure this out with a conversation--” He was cut off when Lucas punched the wall next to his face. The student's eyes widen. Suddenly a cackle was heard behind the guy standing in front of him. “Tsk, Tsk, Tsk, If you should’ve taken in our warning we wouldn’t be here in the first place, now won’t we, Lawrence?” He said his voice filled with amusement. The student stares at him with shaky eyes. “Now, what did you say at the bathroom a while ago?” The guy said, he gently push Lucas out of the way and pinned his right hand above the other male student's head.

“Say it,” He uttered under his breath and the student could hear it. “Say it or my big guy here won't hesitate to beat you in a pulp,” The guy said leaning his mouth to the student's ear. “Hey! What the heck are you doing?!” A voice was heard not far from them. Their location was a narrow alleyway and the entrance of that alleyway stood a determined Axel. Lucas and his friend stared at him with confusion. “Or-I Uhm I will, Kick you in the gut!” He said in between stutters. All of them stared at Axel in a moment of silence until they laugh out loud except for Lucas who just rolled his eyes at his dumbness. “What the hell?!” The guy that was in front of the frightened student wiped his tears because of laughing, “How about I will kick you in the gut? Huh?!” The guy was about to walk towards Axel but Lucas put his hands on his shoulders halting him.

“Just leave him be, Mark,” Lucas said with a monotone voice. This made the said guy, Mark widen his eyes at what Lucas said. He chuckled turning to him, “Why? Why, Lucas? Do you know him?” He said his brows arched downward. “He’s not worth your time,” Lucas said as he pass through Mark. The said guy smirked as he realized Lucas approaching the uninvited guest. Axel stood there fearing for his life that he could not take up the courage to run away. He gulps when Lucas stops in front of him. Suddenly a shout was heard at their side. They panned their heads. Their eyes widen when they saw Neveah running at full speed. She jumped and raised her left knee. Lucas who only realized at the last moment widen his eyes and block them with his arms.

The impact made Lucas stumble on his feet but he was able to stop himself from falling. He look at his hands and it was red and a footprint was visibly left on his arms. Neveah then pulled Axel by his side, “Do not touch my friend,” She growled, her brows furrowed and her eyes were filled with anger. Mark and his friends including the student that they pinned widen their eyes when they saw Lucas show a painful expression. It was the first time they saw Lucas hurt. Neveah and Lucas glared at each other both pissed off. Axel sighed in relief and utter thanks to Neveah.

“Glad you made it in time! I was so scared for my life, I thought I was gonna pee my pants off,” He whispered to Neveah, and the girl looked at him with disgust, “But you didn’t right?!” She exclaimed and Axel gave him a big no,” Of course not I said Almost!” Neveah just shakes his head and focuses his attention on the guy in front of them. Lucas noticed Neveah’s posture. Both of her fists were raised and her right leg was behind his left leg, ‘Taekwondo?’ Lucas thought. “Sorry, but I don’t fight girls,” He said and this made Neveah smirk. “Too bad,” She exclaimed, and then she charged at him. She take a stance before kicking Lucas’s side but because of his fast reflexes, he was able to block it. Although, he successfully saved himself from Neveah’s kick it did not save him from the pain Neveah’s kick gave. He hissed under his breath.”Okay, that hurts…” He said with his deep voice. He shook his arms to ease the pain and after a moment he took a boxing stance being serious about their fight. “Forget what I said, I might have to fight girls after all,” He said with a smirk this made Neveah feel something deep within her. “I’m fired up now,” She grin replying to Lucas. Both of them had these unexplainable expressions except anger. It seems that the two are kinda bit excited to fight each other. Axel takes a step back to ensure his safety because of the growing tension.

Both of them took the first step and were supposed to land a hit on one another when Mark, Lucas’s friend stop them. Both of them panned their heads and glared at him that making him raise his arms, “Woah, Woah chill,” He chuckled. He then looks at Lucas. The said guy lowered his hand and grit his teeth retracting his fist. The action made Neveah confused. Looking at Lucas he seems like a puppy who was scolded by his owner. “I didn’t tell you to go all out nor did I order you to fight her,” Mark’s voice was laced with anger and he tried his best not to make it obvious but the girl who was present can clearly notice it. Neveah frown at the interruption. Mark then panned his attention on Neveah. He gives an eye smile to her in which made Neveah cringe in disgust, “I’m sorry, Miss, My friend here is a nutcase,” He said while pulling Lucas hard by wrapping his arms around his shoulder. Lucas’s brows furrowed and a small grunt can be heard. He held Mark’s arms but did not dare to remove them.

Neveah who saw the scene raised one of her brows, ‘Odd?’ She thought. She concluded that Lucas’s action’s in the present situation were seen to be careful around Mark. Like an obedient puppy. This made Neveah curious. “We’re gonna excuse ourselves now!” Mark said walking away not forgetting his signature eye smile that irk Neveah to punch it. Axel and Neveah watch as Lucas gets dragged away by him and the other himbos follow after them. The student that Axel saved was nowhere to be seen probably escaped in the heat of the moment. “That was odd,” Axel said staring at their disappearing backs. Neveah nod at what he said. Both stood there in silence not until Neveah suddenly hits Axel continuously. The poor guy was blocking Neveah’s hands and trying to escape.

“Why did you have to get yourself in danger?!” Neveah shouted while still hitting Axel. The said guy's reply was full of groans and ooh and ahh. “I can’t help it. The poor student needs some help,” Axel said while still trying to protect himself. “And?! The first thing that came into your mind was saved him?!” Axel nodded feeling a little relief that Neveah had stopped hitting him. “For heaven’s, sake you don’t even know that guy! And, the worst-case scenario you pissed off Lucas’s gorilla friends!” Neveah said while rolling her eye thinking that what Axel did was truly stupid. Axel said a quiet sorry to her. Neveah look at him and growled at him which made the scared guy flinch. Neveah then look back in the direction Lucas disappeared to with his hooligans, “Something’s not right,” She muttered under her breath.
