A glimpse of love..

Time passed by so fast that our vacation is approaching. The whole school is busy preparing for our Christmas party.
"Okay students listen. We are having a conference today so Carla and Allie, you plan together about our sections' activities with your classmates". She handed us a yellow pad paper where we list our classmates that will participate for that activity.
"So here's our activities on our coming Christmas party". Carla, our class president said. "Our parents already conducted a general meeting the other day about the food that they're going to cook,so there's no problem with that but we have a fund on our monthly contribution and we are going to make a dessert, anyone can suggest whag dessert should we make?"
Our planned run smoothly because everyone in our class is participating though we can't avoid that we're so noisy. Teenage moments. We have a lot of activities including a Disco derby contest that will be conducted at the evening.
"Hey sis, why you didn't participate in any activities on our Christmas party?". Jezel asked me while I am re writing our final planned activities.
"Sis,have you forgot that I will be the MC our event together with our senior? and besides I have to manage this activies of ours too, It's too much for me if I'll still participate to one of this". Yes I was elected to be an MC for our Christmas party.
"Yeah I forgot but with whom?".
"I don't know. Ma'am Kristine said that she will just call me if she's done with the our speech".
Everyone is starting to practice for their songs and dance for the event.
"Allie, Ma'am Kristine is looking for you in their room".
"I'll follow, thank you". I fixed my uniform and headed to our seniors room.
"Hi Ma'am". I smiled at her.
"Hi Allie, I love your hair". She smiled at me. "Please have a seat, we'll wait for Ace".
"Ace? he will be my partner?". I utter unintentionally.
"Yeah.why? Don't you want to?"
"No ma'am it's okay. I just don't expect him". I chuckled a bit as I accept our speech from her. I sat down on one of their chairs since their whole class is on the playground practicing their dance.
I was playing with my curly hair braided by Riley during our launch time. I was supposed to braid it again when someone called me to go here.
"Ma'am Kristine I'm here". Ace is here and I was busy reading our speech that I didn't turn.
"You practice your speech with Allie". She said and this time I turned around to them and I can see that he himself didn't expect too that I'll be his partner. "I'll leave you here guys".
We both nodded to Ma'am Kristine.
"Hi Allie cutie". He tease me as he sat down beside me. "You look pretty with your hair". He smiled at me that makes his eyes smile too.
"Thanks. Here's yours". It's embarrassing but I can't help not to blush. I gave him his copy of our speech. "Shall we start? and could you please sit in front of me and not beside me?".
"Don't you want me to sit beside you?".
"Whatever, let's just start". He didn't argue anymore and we start practicing our speech.
I almost scream when the bell ring. Its recess time.
"Let's have a rest first Allie, you're so good. I think it'll be splendid on our event".
"Thanks. You too. You're good". I tried to smile at him. I was about to walk out their room when he grab my wrist.
"Ahm Allie, can we talk for awhile?".
"About what?". I stare at his hand that make him get off his hand on my wrist.
"Allie are we good?"
"What do you mean?". I was shocked of his question that make me frown. "I think we are. You're my senior and I'm your school mate".
"No what I mean is". His rubbing the back of her neck gently as if he's embarrassed. "I-i like you. I like you Allie, can't you feel it?".
"What? seriously Ace? ..you know what this is nonsense I gotta go". I suddenly turned around that make me lose my balance for I didn't notice the chair on my side. Ace grab my hand and I bump on his chest. I look up at him. I think my cheek is burning and my heart is pounding so fast. I can't utter a words.
In the middle of our silence, Ace attempt to kiss me but my hand just move automatically and I slapped him unintentionally. "I'm sorry". I hurriedly get out of their room covering my face.

I was shocked when she slapped me. I think I did it too fast. I almost kissed her. I can't help myself everytime I looked at her. I maybe look playful but I know to myself who can melt my heart and I know its her.
"Ace wait..so how's your practice with Allie?". Ma'am Kristine asked me while we're on our way home.
"It's good Ma'am, perfect, she's very good". I smiled.
"I know. She's a very excellent student, she's just lack of confidence. Since tomorrow is Saturday,why don't you go at Allie's house and you practice with her, I'll just call her later to let her know". I don't know but I feel nervous but excited at the same time knowing that I'll be seeing her again tomorrow.

"Hello Allie, this your teacher Kristine".
"Oh hello Ma'am, what's the matter?".
"I'll just want to let you know that Ace is going there in your house for you to practice more. We have a very important guests on our Christmas party so you two must impressed them,okay?".
"o-okay ma'am, we will do our best".
"Thank you Allie, we're rooting on you".
Ma'am Kristine dismissed the call before I put down the phone. "rooting in me". I wonder what was the meaning of the last line she said. I just shook my head a bit and don't bother to think of that too.
"wait..Ace is going here tomorrow?..oh my god..what should i wear? wait..what?.. I'm crazy..why am i saying this?". I know its crazy but i want to look decent in front of him tomorrow.
I went downstairs to let my parents know. They're both at the living room doing they're own stuff. "Mom, dad...my senior is going here tomorrow, I just don't know what time. We're going to rehearse our speech for our Christmas party next week."
"Girl or boy?". Mom's teasing me with her smiling eyes.
"Mom...a man". I sat on the couch so that my mom can't see my awkwardness.
"A man you say". My dad added. He look at me seriously with a meaningful smile. "Our baby is indeed a growing woman now, I just wish you're always our baby". He breathe out as if he's disappointed.
"Dad, I am always your baby but whatever you're thinking is not like that".
"What do you think I'm thinking my peachy?". He chuckles teasing me.
"I know what you too are thinking". I pouted. "Why don't you just give me a little brother so that you won't bully me?".
"We're not bullying you honey". My mom said as I walk towards our kitchen to get some food to eat.
"I love you so much too guys". I shouted.
My parents can't give me a sibling anymore because when mom gave birth to me, she lose a lot of blood and almost die because of pre-clamsia. They told me that when I once asked for a sibling when I was 6 years old and also I don't want a sibling if it cost my mom's life.
They're not embarrassed playing and flirting with each other that is why I can see how much important they are to each other. I love both of them that I sometimes scold them when they don't talk to each other.
