For a second, I was just standing there and staring at the door in front of me.
I was home.
But honestly, I felt like I was about to open a doorway to a black hole.
What was waiting for me on the other side?
I could smell him. He was here. My mate. He didn’t smell like any other woman. But then again, he never did. He could have showered. And besides, it was mostly the male scent that rubbed off on the woman. Not the other way around. Guess even nature thought it was alright for males to f**k around…
I had talked to Izzy about many of my fears, and although I hadn’t told her anything about my past, she seemed to understand anyway. I couldn’t help but think that Alpha Darren had something to do with that.
I took a deep breath.
