Chapter 2: The Forest

Sadly, I stepped inside my dorm. I had a dorm with Justin and a girl named Jaden. She was nicknamed Jade since it was short for Jaden. Jaden was also my friend, she was like a sister to me.
'You okay Pear?' she asked me.
'I'm alright, I can not believe I lost to him,' I replied to her.
'You're too relaxed in battle,' she explained 'You gotta make sure he is off and disarmed before you relax, understand?'
'Yeah, I guess,' I responded. I walked out of my dorm with Jaden. Justin was still in the cafeteria. We told him we would be doing some intense training in the dusk, gloomy forest.
'They say that you grow strong faster in the forest,' Jaden said
'I'll tag along with you guys,' Justin replied gloomily. Suddenly, the bells of the school started buzzing.
'I thought school was over,' I said.
'Please proceed to visit the assembly for a special announcement,' the speakers wailed.
'This must be serious,' Justin said. We walked into the assembly hall and took a seat with five hundred other students. We saw the grand knight, he was also our principal. His name was Mr Robert. He has performed lots of noble tasks. He is someone I look up to.
'Hello, I have a very special announcement,' Mr Robert told everyone 'We are allowing mages to attend our academy,'
'Eh?' Jaden exclaimed.
'Yes, Jaden Hizo,' he resumes 'This school would be better if we had the support of mages so I've decided to add some mages,'. We walked out after he had finished. We also put on our armour and proceeded to enter the forest.
'Be on guard,' Jaden said.
'What does it look like I'm doing?' Justin cried out.
'Just saying,' Jaden mumbled.
'This is training our stamina?' I asked Jaden.
'Precisely,' she replied. While we were running in the forest, we heard a rustle in the bushes.
'What was that?' Justin asked.
'The wind,' I replied. Unexpectedly, a small creature jumped on Justin's face.
'AHHHHH!' Justin screamed.
'Calm down it's just a slime blonug,' Jaden said. I removed it from his face and held it.
'They're not aggressive to humans,' Jaden said. She then started to laugh.
'I knew that,' Justin murmured while wiping slime from his face.
'I'm gonna keep it as a pet,' I said.
'Not against the rules,' Jaden said dully. I picked up some leaves and gave them to the blonug. It jumped around in satisfaction. We kept moving along with my pet. I looked at it and named it Junior. All of us kept walking and we eventually decided to brawl. Junior watched.
'Justin, you cannot defeat the Jade!' Jaden shouted to him.
'Yes I can,' he said. Justin got his blade and started to rush at Jaden. Justin attacked Jaden's chest plate. Jaden kicked him back and attacked his shoulder. They started to clash until Jaden caught Justin off guard. She tripped him up and used her sword to push him to the tree near them.
'Ring out!' I yelled. Junior made a similar sound. It was now my turn to fight against Jaden now.
