A scythe came sweeping toward her face. She moved to one side and grabbed the attacker’s arm, using its downward momentum to help her flip the man forward—and the momentum from that action allowed her to dodge a heavy club that missed connecting with the side of her head by a few scant centimeters. She whirled and her foot lashed out, landing solidly in the side of one Restaal’s chest, where a human’s ribs would be, with a satisfying thunk. She fell to the ground and tumbled, bowling over one attacker; then, in a single, fluid motion, she rolled back onto her feet, ready to face a new foe.
