Darkness quickly started to spread throughout the forest as nightfall came. I knew that Alexander had already found out by now that I was missing. I stopped next to a pond, needing to take a quick breather and maybe splash some water over my face to cool down some.
I came to a stop right next to the pond and immediately fell down on my knees. I stared back at my reflection and saw just how horrid I looked.
