I am sitting in my office going over the investments and the receipts as we are trying to get our little town up and running so we don’t have to keep making runs into the Human town. Sam is sitting at her own little desk doing her work on the construction hours and the maids and pack workers for the payroll. She is really good with numbers and has been helping me out with Reese being gone. I get a knock on my door and Lyrel sticks his head in the room. “We have about fifteen buses lined up at our gates. Just then I see Sam’s eyes go milky white with an incoming mind link. I nod my head. “Okay, keep an eye on them until you hear from the guards giving the all clear sign. He nods his head once and disappears.
I close my laptop and sigh looking over at Sam.
