blow off some steam

I was really angry. How does he have the same plan i do. Id say Great minds think alike but his is clearly not great he let a woman and her children walk around during an earthquake. As i think about it i feel my blood begin boil and i wanna walk over there and give him a piece of my mind just what kind of parents does he have , what sort of brain cells does he have that he lacks compassion and empathy. I glare at him and he raises an eyebrow at me looking unbothered.

ooh thats it im going over there.

"hey..? guyss? you hungry ?" Maggie just looks at me and Sasha nods. i always just assume that Sasha is speaking on behalf of both of them she does enjoy being motherly towards Maggie and Maggie doesn't like it one bit its always like having two bulls in one kraal at home.

I take out puree pouches and hand one to Sasha and open the other one before i give it to Maggie i look in the bag and i see that there isnt that much left and we dont even have a way of getting more and this worries me. We have a long journey ahead of us on foot i just hope our luck turns around soon but for now imma go let off some steam on to a guy that definitely deserves it.

"Listen guys im gonna go to that guy over there and see if he can give us a ride so i need you to stay right here ill be back soon okay?"

As i approach him his relaxed demeanour changes and his eyebrows turn to a frown. He probably thinks im here to beg him to help us but his got another thing coming.

i stand not too close but close enough

to cast a shadow over his face with hands on my hips i take a deep breath for courage.

"What is wrong with you?!" i said louder than i had planned to my head but didn't waver nonetheless and gave him a stern look. His eyes looked from my feet till they reached my eyes and he raised an eyebrow at me as if to say i dont know what you mean and i felt like kicking him in his stupid eyebrow raising face and even if my back was facing them i knew my kids were watching.

"How could you just drive off like that!? and leave women and children behind! have you no shame... they supposed to go first dummy -" i stop my rant surprised by his calm,deep and low voice

"Excuse me?" he says and i take a step back i didn't expect it to be so manly and husky.

i was honestly expecting some sqeaky girl version of a mans voice.

He then stands up and my eyes widen shocked by his height the height difference was now so clear and obvious i gulped and regretting having had come over here seeking trouble i clearly couldn't handle. I take another step back starting to feel scared noticing i had biten more than i can chew.

i just wanted to curl up into a ball and die.

He clears his throat bringing me back to reality and i decide to continue anyway.

"Yea! how can any decent human being leave two innocent kids and their mother behind and just moves about his live without even so much as a batter of an eye?"

"Look. lady.... this is a time for survival of the fittest and i would never associate myself with dead weight at a time like this." he says so calmly as if its not an offensive thing to say to another person and my eyes widen with shocked but in my heart i knew he was right and i turn to head back to my kids. Mostly to hide the hurt he caused.

i just cant believe he was so brutally honest about it and my heart sank some part of me thought perphaps i could scold him into helping us out but with what he said and the way he said it ,it seemed it was never gonna happen and my eyes started to water. i needed to stop thinking too much and control my emotions and to come up with another plan. Have to stop feeling so helpless, to make do with what i have.

i soon realise im still standing in one spot and make a move to go forward when i suddenly loose balance as the ground moves under me and go crashing into him and land on his right leg and arm he had gone back to his previous position when i turned and i was so deep in my thoughts i had not noticed and panic quickly took over and i muttered a sorry and ran to my children as quickly as i could.
