A Festive Gift to You

1147 Words
On the day of Christmas Eve, a gleeful little boy ran down the stairs of his home. Why, On the day before Christmas? His Grandma was visiting, and that was his favorite part of the Festive Season. Even Though, on Christmas Day; he receives Gifts; nothing could beat the time he shares with Grandma. She was so sweet and kind, and always got him Great Big Presents a Day before Christmas itself. Last Year, Grandma got him a Nintendo Switch, the Year before; Grandma got him a Xbox One. This Year, he hoped Grandma would get him the new Bigger LLC. Product, Big PlainStation. Which was the Next Generation of High Powered Consoles to play all your favorite Games, Movies, Shows, and More.  The Boy reached the Last step of the Stairs, and leaned on the Handle to see if he could get a glimpse if Grandma had already arrived. As he leaned more onto the Stair Rails, a strange Sound was heard; was his Mom already making Christmas Smoothies? That’s usually made on the Night of Christmas Day. However, he did catch a glimpse of the Shoes grandma wears every time she visited. From what he could tell, was Grandma kneeling on the floor or even perhaps laying on the floor? There was a Possibility Grandma was hurt.  He finally stepped onto the wooden floor and made his way to the Kitchen, which was where he heard the noise; and saw the shoes of his Relative. Thoughts surged through his mind, was Grandma Hurt? Did she fall? Or maybe she was just picking something off the Ground. The Boy ran to the Entrance of his Kitchen, to see a Sight…of Confusion. For a Second, he didn’t understand what he saw; but soon it came to him; what he was looking at was…Sinister. His Grandma was kneeling over his Mother, who laid flat on her back. She took hold of a handful of his Mother’s Intensities and brought it to her mouth. Grandma shoved the loud gore into her mouth, and with her free hand grabbed another handful. Once Again, she shoved it down her throat. The Boy had tears begin to appear under his eyes. He stood with shock and terror, as his Grandma; who’s skin of the color of a Blue tint. She was not herself. A Second later, Grandma quickened her speed of feasting the insides of her daughter. As a quiet sound of cry left the Boy’s Mouth; his Grandma turned to him. She had the face of Hunger and evil. Her eyes glowed the color blue, a Deep and Shining Blue. Her teeth weren't there. Instead, her gums had short black colored tentacles; which pushed the gore down her throat.  Suddenly, his Grandma stood and walked towards him. She shambled and tripped towards him. The Boy watched as her clothes slid down her body, they no longer fit her. Her Body shrunk, as her Muscles and skin tightened against her body. Her skin, which had a Blue tint, became darker, almost grey. Her Movement grew quicker, and as it did; The Boy’s legs turned him around and forced him to run in the Opposite direction. He ran towards the front door, behind him was the Creature, which was once his Grandma. It continued to stumble towards him.  As he finally meant with the door, his hands shot to the Door Knob. He couldn’t turn, for the door was locked. The Switch above the Doorknob, was how the door could be Locked and Unlocked from inside the House, was out of his Reach. The Boy quickly turned to face the Creature, which was now a Meter away. The Boy ran to his left, into the Living room. There stood the colorfully lit-up Christmas Tree. Several Presents sat under the Tree. In the Room, there were also large Couches and a Single Coffee Table which sat between them all. In front of the furniture was the fireplace. The Boy quickly ran to the blazed fireplace. He took hold of his Desired Object, the Fire Poker.  He raised the Fire Poker and held it out towards the Creature. It lowered to the floor and began to crawl on the ground. It crept towards the Youngling, licking its lips and growling. But as The Boy began to swing the Fire Poker around, the Creature stopped in its actions, and stared at the Boy. As Fear ran through his body, his mind had several thoughts. Thoughts of His Dead Mother, Once Loveable Grandmother, and any Present she would have brought. His Eyes soon laid onto the Presents under the tree. Sadness and Drought were the only emotions that struck him. When his Eyes drifted from the Creature, it leaped at him. And As the Creature nearly landed onto the boy, he quickly looked back at the Creature. The Boy raised the Fire Poker and the Creature was Impaled. The Monster laid on him as it bled to death. The Creature’s blood soaked into the clothes of the Boy. It was of the Color, Black. After a Minute of Screaming and Moaning, the Creature rolled off of him and desperately tried to pull the Fire Poker out from it’s chest. The Boy stood up and snatched another Fire Poker ,which he used to c***k the Window of the Living Room. He damaged the window well enough for him to break it with one final hit, and was able to climb out, lightly cutting himself.  As his feet hit the ground. He tried his best to run to anyone who could help. Just then, he noticed his Neighbors exiting their house and approaching their Car. Almost instantly, a Woman, who was one of the people who stepped out. Noticed Little Jimmy running towards her. She and Jimmy’s Mom were Close Friends, and she of course immediately ran to the Boy. Quickly, before she even got a hold of him; The Boy began to speak.  “Monster at Home, Mom not moving,” Jimmy Explained. The Neighbor gripped hard onto Jimmy and passed him to her Husband. After that, she ran to her best friend’s home. She tried the front door, but it was locked. Next, she headed for the Window and looked inside. Everything looked normal. Rather than the Window seriously broken and the Puddle of Black Substance in the Living room. She noticed black footprints leading to the Kitchen from the Puddle. The Neighbor jumped into the house and headed  into the Kitchen. Where there, she saw the corpse of her best friend being pulled out of the Back door into the Woods. A Gnarly scream left her Mouth and she fell to the kitchen floor, getting her knees into the puddle of blood of her former friend. Police soon arrived and from that day, the Boy; Jimmy Axton, was no longer the Boy he was.
