I listened to them arguing outside the door, shaking my head. Irene looked so cozy. She was already asleep. I walked to the bathroom without making a sound, and quickly changed into my pajamas, before I fell on my bed. My eyes were already burning. It was already so late.
I didn't know when I fell asleep but when I saw the golden rays glittering over the river and the exotic flowers, I knew I was back. I looked for my dragon, and sure enough, she appeared in front of me, her massive wings flapping. Sunlight reflected on her golden body.
"I am ready for the test, whatever it is. Someone is planning against my kingdom, and I need you," I said to he as soon as I saw her. She sighed.
"Oh, Alyna, I am sorry."
"Yes. That is why I need to do it now. What should I do to claim you?"
