Christine's POV
Mike is still blocking my way to the podium as if he does not want to let go of the idea that he is going to become the head of the department. Emma looked embarrassed. She has been caught in her life, and now Mike knows that I was the one who tried to get him into the position. He looks from Emma to me, but I push him aside as I walk past him. I am not going to allow him to steal my Thunder. I am not going to allow him to stand in my way of success. I am only taking this position to get back at Mike. I would have never done it before, but now I am sure that I can handle two jobs because I will never forget Sacred Heart. He turns slowly and goes back to his table to sit down next to Emma. I can see him glaring at her as if he is angry with her. Mike made a fool of himself.
