Chapter Two Bethany I open my eyes to an upside-down world. My windows are completely white outside but are amazingly intact; the car’s functional enough that I can see the glow of the headlights faintly through the layer of snow. I’m conscious, alive..and in a crazy situation. I flip on the emergency lights, praying someone will see them in the blowing snow, then do a quick check-in with myself.
