An Ahuizotl Father

Coming out of the cursed forest

After burying the woman’s corpse, the Ahuizotl used his shadow magic to cleanse the house of any kind of vermin there might be.

When he was clean, he decided to spend the rest of the day in that place so he could give his daughter a deserved rest.

The first thing he did was to prepare a pot of water so that he could bathe, because wood was something that he could not get.

He used a fire stone to create the fire to heat the water. When it was in a good temperature, he bathed little Diana and later he bathed.

After this, he threw the dirty water on the outside of the protection circle, wetting some skeletons that were outside.

After being bathed, he turned into his humanoid form and began to play with his little daughter.

Diana enjoyed playtime with her father while laughing, but all good things had to end at some point. That’s why when her father returned to his normal form.

Little Diana closed her eyes and fell asleep on the soft bed that the Ahuizotl had cleaned for her.

While his daughter slept in bed, the Ahuizotl pulled out some meat and began to eat while guarding the quiet place.

When it was night, the Ahuizotl lay down next to his little daughter and protected her with his body.

The next day he fed, cleaned and bathed little Diana before placing her on his back as they had to leave that place.

Fortunately, it was only 30 km that he had to travel to be able to leave the place, so it would take about five hours, which was enough time before Diana woke up from hunger.

After closing the door of the house, he began his way north to be able to leave that place.

When he was integrated into the shadows, he started his way outside. It did not take long to reach the limit of the barrier. When he crossed, it made him see something completely surprising.

Outside, there are numerous skeletons waiting by the side of the trees, creating a spooky feeling as none of them were moving or breathing.

It was like having hundreds or thousands of statues to the side of completely dry trees, an undoubtedly creepy image.

But the Ahuizotl did not even flinch as he continued his way through the shadows, he could only see how the creatures were staring at him without being able to approach where he was.

He continued running through the forest as thousands of skeletons followed closely behind him, it was as if they wanted to add the Ahuizotl to their collection or simply wanted the girl.

During the next hour nothing happened, but it was in the second hour that things got complicated as the Ahuizotl could barely advance in the shadows.

Because there seemed to be some kind of current that he didn’t want to advance, it didn’t take long for him to find the cause of that disturbance.

In the distance he could see the black skeleton of what appeared to be a shadow dragon, so the Ahuizotl knew he had to fight or he could only fight the current of shadows.

The problem was that his little daughter could not bear to be in the shadows for so long, so the Ahuizotl turned into his humanoid form and prepared to fight.

Because he was at a clear disadvantage, because of the amount of enemies, he would first eliminate the shadow dragon skeleton and return to the shadows.

From where he would begin his way to the edge of the cursed forest, he did not know how many creatures with the power to stop him in the shadows there were.

When he came out of the shadows, he protected his daughter using his left hand as he ran towards the shadow skeleton, who seemed surprised by the attitude of the Ahuizotl.

After running for a few seconds the Ahuizotl reached where the shadow dragon’s skeleton was and, using all his strength, he struck it with his right arm.

This caused the shadow dragon’s skull to shatter into small pieces, but the Ahuizotl didn’t want to stop with just that.

So, using his left leg, he destroyed the vertebrae that supported the dragon’s skull, creating a small crater when it hit the ground.

At that moment, the Ahuizotl took a stone of fire and concentrated so much magic on it that it created a flame so powerful that it burned at least 100 meters of dry forest to ashes.

This also included the skeleton of the shadow dragon. After doing that the Ahuizotl used his shadow magic and started his way north to be able to leave that place.

For he could feel that he had made some creature angry with what he had done, because he was in his humanoid form he ran much faster than in his Ahuizotl form.

So when his body returned to its normal form, it was only a few minutes from being able to reach the river that separated the region.

It was at that moment that he could feel how currents began to be created in the shadows, so when he turned his head.

He could see thirty shadow dragons in the sky, so the Ahuizotl decided to come out of the shadows and run with all his might.

Well, he had no other option because he had used his trump card. When he went outside, he began to dodge the attacks of hundreds of skeletons that were waiting for him.

Some of those attacks could damage his skin, but despite the pain, he did not stop and continued running until he could see the river in the distance.

As he got closer, he could see a bridge in the distance, so he ran towards it at full speed while some arrows buried themselves in his body.

The pain he could feel was overwhelming, but despite that, he protected his daughter with all his might, so when he reached the bridge he did so, leaving a pool of blood.

When crossing the bridge, the doors of the place were opened, so the Ahuizotl launched himself towards the safety of the walls.

At that moment, a bloodcurdling scream could be heard and all the dead creatures returned to the cursed forest because they did not intend to fight against the mother forest.
