I didn’t sleep that night. Every time I closed my eyes, Adrian’s message echoed in my mind. “This marriage isn’t about love. It’s about revenge.” Morning arrived with an unbearable silence. My mother knocked softly before entering my room with a white garment bag in her hands. “It’s time,” she whispered. I stared at the wedding dress inside. It was beautiful, but to me, it looked like a prison. “I can’t do this,” I said, my voice trembling. My mother gently held my hand. “Sometimes life forces us to make impossible choices.” An hour later, our car stopped in front of the city’s most luxurious hotel. My heart pounded as I stepped inside. Guests dressed in expensive suits and elegant gowns filled the hall, but no one smiled. The atmosphere felt more like a business meeting than a wedding. Then I saw him. Adrian Cole stood at the end of the aisle in a perfectly tailored black suit. His expression was cold, unreadable. As I walked toward him, he never looked away. When I finally stood beside him, he leaned closer. “You look nervous,” he said quietly. “I never wanted this.” A faint smile appeared on his lips. “I know.” Before I could respond, he added words that made my blood run cold. “And this is only the beginning.” The ceremony was about to begin… but I had no idea what Adrian was really planning
