Everyone knew Adrian Cole—the young billionaire who built a business empire with his intelligence and ruthless determination. But I also knew something else. The last time we met, he looked at me with eyes full of hatred. “There must be another way,” I pleaded. “There isn’t.” My father’s voice cracked. “Our company is bankrupt. If we don’t accept his offer, we’ll lose everything.” Tears filled my eyes. “So you’re trading my future for money?” He lowered his head, unable to answer. My phone suddenly vibrated. Unknown Number With trembling hands, I opened the message. “Tomorrow at ten. Don’t be late, future wife.” A second message appeared before I could breathe. “This marriage isn’t about love. Before I could think any further, another message arrived. “Run if you want… but you’ll still end up wearing my ring.”
