Midnight Alpha V. Dark Wood Alpha

Alpha Daniel POV

Bodies were everywhere. Dead and wounded from both packs. Where was my beta? How could Pike be gone in a moment like this? Come to think of it I hadn't seen him all day. I know he said he had personal affairs to tend to earlier this week. I didn't think to interfere. Pike was loyal and my childhood friend. As I'm wondering about the whereabouts of my beta I attack midnight warriors left and right. I see Hunter handling himself well but still keeping an eye on my heir.

As I ran further more into the battle I come to a halt. I see Midnight Alpha Damion in my way. "DAMION! YOU B*****D! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? WE HAD A PACT." I see him smirk. My beta runs up behind him. I get ready to pounce to help Pike attack, but instead I see him stay by his side as if he was guarding him. What was going on?!

"Beta Pike! What are you doing? Why are you not attacking him?!" I jump to attack Damion but Pike blocks my path.

"I'm sorry this is how it ends for you." Pike says."I really did try to tell you to break the pact with Silver Moon. You refused. It would be impossible to take over Silver Moon land with Dark Wood pack as an ally. So it's come to this dear friend. We could've become more powerful together, but you just want to hold hands with everybody and be friends. I decided to join a pack that is more than capable of advancing in today's world."

They both come towards me.

My wolf Theo says. The feeling is mutual ol pal. My silver wolf was everything I could want and more.

It begins to storm hard. I chomp on Pike. His black wolf's fur starts to saturate from his wounds as I start to attack more fiercely. Damion's ash brown wolf jumps towards me and pins me towards a tree. Pike is on the ground howling from pain. I manage to loosen myself from his pin and start to attack. I see Sarah's white wolf racing towards me.

The moment I saw my Luna I had let Damion slip away. He had shifted back, gun in hand and shoots. Sarah jumps in front of me. Her wolf becomes the color of a rose. The scent of my mate. Sweetest scent I'll ever smell. The last one I'll ever smell. "Until our next life my love" she says and closes her eyes. I embrace her and the bullet that came towards me. Thank you Theo for 22 years of service and friendship. We leave this world with our mate in our arms. Together.

Together. As one with our Luna.
