The next day, Gigi was putting on make-up in the dressing room. She told Candy about the recent events.
Candy repied, “So, you’ll start school soon? Oh, I’m gonna miss you, China Doll!”
“Me too. But I can’t work here while doing that, you know? I have to focus on my studies.” Gigi looked at herself in the mirror; a dewy honey face, dark hair, dark eyes, a little puffy from crying last night. “I’m young, and I need to make something out of myself. I can’t stay in this situation. Candy, I’ve decided to break up with Ronny.”
“What? Did you tell him?”
“No. I don’t think I need to. I didn’t reply to his email last night.”
Laya walked in.
“China Doll! He’s here!”
Candy widened her eyes and looked at Gigi.
Gigi’s tears ran down her face.
