“This can’t possibly be it.”
Kai lets the bag he is carrying slump to the ground as we stare at the city lying in ruins before us, spellbound.
“This isn’t it, is it?” he asks again, even if he knows that we could never give him a positively confident answer.
He sighs while Ace takes out the small piece of paper that Corvina had given us.
“I drove exactly as she had instructed us,” he confirms, letting his eyes roam the indications once again. “And I parked in the designated spot. Here.”
Pointing to the document, he takes a few steps towards his brother, who just groans in annoyance as he takes the document out of his hand. “Park the car under the oak tree on the left and enter the village through its main gate.”
