He met Makayla’s gaze, and she immediately knew what he was thinking. “No,” she said flatly. Mikhail arched a brow. “We don’t have a choice.” Makayla groaned, running a hand through her hair. “You really want to go to her?” “She’s the only one who would know how we did this,” Mikhail reasoned. “If we’re going to undo it, we need her.” Makayla let out a slow breath. “You really think Mom is going to tell us anything?” Celine wasn’t exactly forthcoming with answers. She never had been. But if anyone understood the depth of vampire magic, it was her. Mikhail clenched his jaw. “We have to try.” Makayla crossed her arms, looking away for a moment before finally sighing. “Fine.” Mikhail smirked. “I knew you’d see it my way.” Makayla rolled her eyes. “I’ll kill you if this goes wrong.”
