...Fair, Food and Friends...

Layla's P.O.V.

The next morning, I got woken up by Jackie, telling me breakfast was ready, so I got up and followed her down stairs where Mille, her sister and parents were setting the table..

"Just in time you two, come sit.." Mille's mom said as she got seated..

Jackie and I sat down next to Mille and her mom gestured us all to begin, so we did..

Jasmin was sitting across from me and was making funny faces at me, but Mille tossed her a glare to stop and she pouted at her plate..

I took a stack of sliced cucumbers and put the stack in my mouth, biting through them just behind the green skin, and when Jasmin looked up from her plate I gave her a smile that made it look like I had green teeth..

She couldnt stop herself from laughing and then the others noticed, their parents chuckled, Jackie laughed too, but Mille just shook her head at me..

We finished eating and then got ready to go to the fair again with the guys.. I hoped to get some more alone time with Ethan today because yesterday, when we were up, in the fairest wheel together, and he whispered my name, I really wanted to kiss him and a part of me felt like he wanted to kiss me too, but neither of us made a move..

Mille was way more excited about going today, and last night before we all fell asleep she told Jackie and I, that her and Max actually really hit it off after getting to know each other on the fairest wheel ride..

She had never been interested in Max before because he had always been a player that never got into a relationship with any girl.. I worried that he might have the same intent as he had had with the other girls he had been with, but I kept my concern to myself because it wasn't like that with Mille and Mille is a big girl that can handle herself...

We all dressed more casually today and I had on a light green balloon sleeve corset top with some ripped black jeans and black high heel boots.. Jackie chose to wear a simple apple red maxi dress and Mille had on a floral playsuit in navy with long sleeves..

We met up with the guys at the entrance so we wouldn't have to search for each other amongst all the people at the fair.. The guys were dressed more casually too today, but looked just as handsome as they always do. They were all wearing jeans and a t-shirt but Ethan had a hoodie hanging off his shoulders and Max had a plaid jacket tied around his waist..

As we almost reached them, I could really see all their muscles even through the fabric. I could map out their abs underneath and it was mouthwatering to think about running my hands over Ethan's abs..

Before my mind wandered off further, I heard Jackie's voice..

"Hi guys.." she greeted them, "Hi.." all the guys responded..

"You look great, Layla.." Ethan said, and came right up in front of me..

"So do you.." I responded in almost a whisper when being shy around him whenever he gave me a compliment..

"Thanks.." he said and smirked at me.. "Well, lets go and try some food.." he then added, turning around and faced the rest of the group and walked towards the foodstands..

We picked out items we could share so we could try as much as possible, but with the guys out numbering us girls by one, they figured that they could decide what we would be getting, but they were surprised when we came up with the same suggestions..

"I thought girls just wanted salad and green juices.." Felix said after Mille wanted us to try some animal styled fries..

"Sorry Felix, but not all girls are eating that 'clean' rabbit food.." Jackie mocked him as she took a big messy bite of the fries..

"I would always want a bloody steak over anything green.." I said and took a bite aswell..

"Cant help but to love a girl with a great appetite.." Hugo said with a wink and punched Felix on the arm..

"Then what do you girls suggest next..?" Felix asked, a little annoyed..

"How about we go get a crepe and then take a break from eating..?" I asked..

"They smelled so good when we passed the stand yesterday..!" Max exclaimed..

"I'm up for that.." Hugo said..

"I would love to but I have to go and meet up with my sisters for a bit.. Just go on without me, I'll catch up later.." Ethan said, but looked at me apologetic about having to go..

"Okay, we'll see you later.." I said and gave him a smile..

When Ethan went off to meet his sisters, the rest of us went to get crepes and then take a break from all the food, to make room for more..

Ethan's P.O.V.

I went to go and meet up with my sisters at the entrance and they came running when they saw me..

"ETHAN HI..!" They both screamed when they embraced me..

"Not so loud you two.." I chuckled and hugged them..

"Sorry Ethan, we just missed you.." my youngest sister Gia said..

"I've missed you guys too, and that's actually what I want to talk with you guys about.." I confessed.

They both looked surprised at me and we then found a place to sit and talk..

"What did you want to talk about..?" my other sister Bella asked, and waited for my response..

"Well.. You guys are not really home anymore and I can't be alone in that big house anymore, so I'm staying at Max's house, but if you let me know when you are coming home, then I'll be there too.." I said..

"With school it was easier just to stay with our friends.. I'm sorry we didn't think about telling you.." Bella said with regret filling her voice..

"It's okay, I just wished now that we had talked sooner.." I said..

"Can we go visit mom soon..?" Gia asked..

"Sure we can, Gia, I'm sure mom would love that.. Have any of you heard from dad lately..?" I said and they both shook their heads..

"The only time we have any connection with him is when he transfers money to us.. What about you..?" Bella asked..

"Nope, it's the same with me.. Sometimes I wished to have gone with mom but I never wanted to leave you two here alone if dad wasn't going to be home.." I said and took a deep breath..

"I have thought about going and living with mom when I have to start high school after summer break.." Bella confessed,

"Me too.." Gia said.. They were only a year apart, but Gia was smarter than other kids her age, so she moved up into the same grade as Bella..

"Sounds like a great idea you two..! I'm counting on moving out before New Years, maybe with the house empty dad would come back.." I said and joked about our dad coming back if we were gone..

"Haha yeah maybe.." Bella laughed, Gia let out a small chuckle..

"I'm glad we talked and that I got to see you both, but my friends are waiting for me around here somewhere.. Let's get together again soon for dinner where we can talk some more, okay..?" I said..

"Sounds good, we better get going too our friends are also waiting.." Bella said..

I gave them both a hug and a promise to find a day soon to have dinner together and then texted Max to know where they are..

Max - Hey dude, we are waiting by the fairest wheel.. Pee break.. haha ;)

Me - Great. I'll be there in a few..

When they came into view, they were all waiting by the wheel except for Mille and Layla..

"Hi guys.. Is Mille and Layla still in line to pee..?" I asked when I reached them..

"No.! I cant find her anywhere..!" Mille exclaimed as she ran up behind us..

My blood ran cold when she said she couldn't find Layla anywhere.. All my thoughts went straight to that crazy ex of hers and I wanted to flip everything on its head to find her but I knew it would be of no use..

Everyone was talking on top of each other.. Jackie was on the phone to the cops, Mille and Max had run back to where Mille last saw her, whilest Hugo and Felix just watched me standing frozen until I shook it off and went over to Mille and Max..

They stood bowed over something on the ground and then looked at each other, and Mille then crumbled to the ground crying..

When I saw it I knew he had her. The thing on the ground was one of Layla's sleeves that had been torn off..

I wanted to pick it up but Max stopped me as he held on to a devastated Mille..

"Dont Ethan.. The police will need it for evidence.." he said and a few seconds after the police showed up..

They questioned all of us, but I wasn't much use because I wasn't with them for an hour..

Both Mille's and Layla's parents showed up soon after the police, all of them out of their minds.. Max handed Mille over to her parents and then came over to me..

"Hey man, are you okay..?" he asked and put his hand on my shoulder..

"No.. I'm mad at myself for not being here.." I said with a clenched fist..

"Hey you couldn't have done anything Ethan.." Max said and grabbed both of my shoulders, "Come on, let's go home.." he added and pulled me towards the car..

"I want to help Max.. I cant just sit and do nothing whilst that creep has Layla captured and does god knows what..!" I snapped at him..

"We cant.! We have to let the police do their job to get her back safely.. Do you understand..?" Max snapped back..

"Please Max.." I pleaded.. He looked furious at me, "F**K.! Fine but if we find him we let the cops know..!" he said..

"Totally.. Thanks man.." I said and gave him a hug..

"Dont thank me yet, plus I'm still mad.." he scuffed and I couldnt help but smile a little..

"Come on.. Let's find your mystery girl.." Max said and got into his car and I followed..
