Augustus had given the couple a prime spot in the gorgeous region, not terribly far from where he himself resided. Although even if they hadn't wanted it, the emperor would have likely forced them to take it anyhow: for the first two weeks that Agrippa and Julia moved into their new house, Augustus 'happened' to drop by 'coincidentally' while going to see 'someone else' every single day.
