Chapter III - How did this even happen? 18+

That was all I needed to make me come to my senses. I grabbed her by her arms and pulled her back, growling at her:

“You aren’t marking me Kimmy!” I growled at her.

“I wasn’t going to. I can bite without marking you, remember? Like I said, I wanted a taste.” and as soon as she said that, the sweet scent of her arousal made me almost lose it and give in to her.

“Kimmy, you are playing a very dangerous game here. Your brother is my best friend. You are like my sister, what the f**k is happening here?” I asked, exasperated, trying to take my mind off our intimate parts being so very close, separated only by thin items of clothing.

“Stop acting like a goody-two-shoes, my brother is his own person, as am I. Lately I enjoy having you around more than I expected, and I’m more than willing to let it unfold and see where it goes. I don’t expect anything from you, Killian. I just want to feel good, and you feel very good. The coldness I feel when you touch me is refreshing, it’s addicting. I want to taste your blood. See if it tastes the same way you feel.” She looked in my eyes as if searching for a sign of me rejecting the idea, and when she couldn’t find any, she went back to trailing kisses on my neck.

“You are going to be the death of me, Kimberly. And by that I mean your brother is going to f*****g kill me.” I grabbed her neck with one hand and brought her closer to me. As soon as I did that, the smell of her arousal hit me like a brick wall and I completely lost it. I sank my fangs in her neck and I greedily tasted her blood. Every drop of her blood was sweet and warm, like hot chocolate on a cold winter. Her moans pulled me out of my own heaven and I retracted my fangs from her skin, licking the two wounds shut. I tore her clothes with my claws and she did the same to mine. I kissed her gently, then deepened the kiss, desperate to feel her sweet taste all over my tongue. “Fine. No touching.”

As I got into the conference room, I could see everyone gathered there, which meant Kim was safe to go.

“You can go, hurry up, the meeting starts in five minutes. Don't be late, please." I sent through the mind-link to her.

“Do you intend to punish me if I am, your highness?” she replied in a very sexy voice and it only made it hard for me to be in my trousers. I was squirming in my seat thinking of all the ways I would make her pay for this.

“You are playing with fire, Kimmy! And not the kind that you can control.”

“I love playing with fire. No matter the kind.” she replied, purring in my head.

I couldn’t take this for much longer, this meeting needed to end before it even started. I couldn't understand where this crazy attraction came from. Maybe it was because we drank each other’s blood, but I couldn't stop thinking about her. The way she tasted was just out of this world. Thinking of the devil:

“I am so sorry to be late, your future majesty. I hope you can find it in your big heart to forgive me.” she said mockingly. I couldn’t help the smile that tugged at my lips as the whole room started laughing.

“Sit down, shithead. This is important.” I said, smiling at her, knowing what was in store for her after this meeting. “The reason why you are all here is my ascension. Or better yet, our ascension. Me and the triplets are linked. They are part of the prophecy as much as I am and us being so close together has to have triggered our ascensions at the same time. It will be within the month. I have asked Ambro to assist with it, in the sense that he will transport us all to a secure location and leave us there. He will also make sure that none of you interrupt, for as long as it may take. If the connection is interrupted, we will die. It is as simple as.” I concluded quickly, wanting to have a chat with Ambro.

"This will be our biggest and most violent ascension we have had. Like Killian said, it is necessary that we are together when it happens. We all know we wouldn't kill each other, even at the peak of our affinities. We also know we can't. Well… we can't. Killian can, obviously. We have been doing our research over the years and have come up with the only solution for this ascension. We built a compound strong enough to withstand this stage. It's going to be magically sealed so other beasts can't get hurt. We're also going to surround the house with mountain ash. On the day, Kim will use her affinity to build a wall of fire on top of it. That way the fire can't be put out and no one will be able to go past it." Kerbe explained firmly.

"As Killian is only weeks away from the double coronation, we need to start laying down ground for our Kingdom. He won't be able to switch between the two." Kim said, and I swear every word that came out of her beautiful mouth was only making me imagine what else she could do with that mouth. She pulled out a map and spread it on the round desk in the centre of us. She used the weights diagonally on the corners to keep it from rolling back, although I could think of a totally different purpose for that table. "There is this area in between the two Kingdoms, it is unclaimed as it stands at this very moment. Not that anyone could stop us." she looked into my eyes and smiled a cheeky smile, while pointing down at an area in between my two future Kingdoms. "If we start planning we could set down there in less than six months. Given that Killian will take over next month, that gives us five months to set it all together. I had already taken the liberty and put a bid on the land to secure our position. We'll get it, but it has to be the legal way, since we will soon be a new Kingdom. Now, as we will also step into our official positions, we need to assemble a team to start patrolling the land once we get it. People will attack as soon as word that it belongs to us spreads.

“How do you know all of this?” my mom asked, a hint of confusion lacing her voice.

“We’ve all known since we had our first stages. We’ve prepared for it ever since, we are ready. There is nothing to worry about.” Larna said, hugging my mom.

“It's going to be okay, mom. We got this.” I said as I put my hands around them both.”We will talk more about this as it closes in on us. We will feel it coming. Now, if everyone is content with everything, I’d like to have a word with Ambro in private, please.” I said, and everyone started making their way out of the room.

“Don't go too far. I won’t be long.” I quickly said to Kim, through our mindlink, just before she left the room. She turned around and looked into my eyes lustfully and I swear these trousers suddenly got too small. “I will be waiting for you in the living room.” she never broke eye contact as she spoke in my mind.

“What is it that you wanted to talk to me about, kid?” Ambro asked me once we were alone.

“You know how you told me to let you know if something changes? Well, something changed Ambro. I kinda lost it and did something stupid that I am probably going to repeat in about ten minutes.” I scratched the back of my neck not really sure how to tell him what we'd done. Someone has to explain what is happening and he is the only one that’s not going to freak out. “I may have slept with Kimmy.”

“You did what?” a low growl escaped his throat. Okay, maybe I was wrong, he is freaking out. “Killian, you can’t do s**t like that. She has a mate out there. How did this even happen?” He was angry and I could understand why.

“Listen, that’s not even the worst thing. We kind of drank each other’s blood, and now the only thing I can think of is doing it again… and her. It’s like I’ve become addicted to her! Her blood heats me up and I didn’t even know I was cold before. Not only that, but her scent alone is driving me crazy! She says I calm down her fire and cool her down. I don’t understand this, I am drawn to her like an addict to the best kind of drug!” I said out loud, exasperated by this feeling. “I know she is not my mate, she knows it too, but why does it feel so good?”

“From what you're saying, it sounds like she has a latent succubus side, this could also be due to her ascension.” He sighed heavily. “With you all connected in your ascension, and now that you two have tasted each other’s blood, she will need you when the next stage will begin, until she learns how to control her s****l energy you will feel attracted to her like she is a drug and there is nothing that you can do. You can teach her control, but it will have to be you. Since you are her first one she feed off, she has imprinted on you. The only thing you can do now is hope that she doesn’t find her mate or go into heat. Since technically she is a wolf, her beast side seems to share the affinities of their past life. We’ve never seen anything like this, this new world we created has exceeded all of our expectations. I don't know what to say except that you f****d up royally, kid. Kerbe is going to lose his s**t when he finds out and you were just a horny kid she’s wrapped around her finger. Their dad might even kill you before he gets the chance to do so himself.” he laughed whole-heartedly. I was about to answer him when Larna came running into the room.

“Kimmy has gone into heat, Kerbe is looking after her for now, but we need to get out of here before it gets to me, Killian. You have to get me out of here.” her pleading eyes worried me, until I heard Kimmy’s pain-filled screams.

“f**k!” I couldn't believe this s**t was happening. I heard Ambro laughing and I pinched the bridge of my nose, not believing the amount of s**t I was in. “Larna, get out and wait in my car, mind-link everyone to leave the house. Ambro, get Kerbe out, I will stay with Kim. Go. Now!

“Why are you staying with Kim? Her heat will affect you too. Kerbe is the only one that won’t be affected.” Larna asked, not understanding why this time it was different. I was about to answer when I felt her scent of arousal in the room and I felt Ambro stiffen up next to me. A growl left my throat as I commanded both of them:

“OUT! NOW! I will get Kerbe out. All of you need to leave now.” Without another word they disappeared. As I made my way into the living room her scent was getting stronger and it was getting harder to resist it. Between growls, I managed to command Kerbe to get out and he too disappeared without a sound, although he did try to resist it.

When I got close to her, she was begging me to help her, she was in so much pain it hurt to see her like that.

“Please, Killian. Help me!” tears were rolling down her face and beads of sweat were covering her forehead.

“Come on, little beast, let’s make you feel better. No marking. Okay? You still have a mate out there and he will kill me for touching you, let alone marking each other.” She nodded her head, trying to keep her eyes open. f**k, I was in deep s**t!
