Pain, pain was all I could feel all over my body.
I heard a constant annoyingly beep sound, ringing through my ears.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
The sound got faster as the pain that flooded through me started to get unbearable. I tried to push through it and open my eyes, but nothing. I was stuck alone in the darkness, maybe this was heaven ... or in my case, hell.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
This time, it felt like a weight was lifted off of my eyes as I was finally able to open them up. I slowly peeked them open, trying to adjust them to the light.
"Carla?" I faintly heard a familiar voice say but I struggled to place it. I clenched my eyes shut again as the bright colors in the room hurt, my throat felt restricted as I tried to breathe.
