Someone fires a gun, it comes from upstairs and I flinch.
“You f*****g…” Thomas snarls, his eyes changing. “You brought them here…”
“So much for the good caring father, isn’t it? “
“Your mother should have killed you. “ he shouts.
I will think about his words for days ahead, what exactly they meant- if it was something he said because of the moment. After all, he realized what a terrible mistake he made because he underestimated us. Or if it’s something he’s always believed - that my mother should have never had me.
I am sure that at some point Thomas suspected James and the whole plan.
But he was so sure we wouldn’t be able to pull this off that he really didn't take it seriously. I don’t know what he was thinking - and maybe it doesn’t matter.
