PROLOGUE THEY LIED TO US! All of them! What would hurt us more: being lied upon or knowing they are pretty lies but we chose to believe them? The world is pretty much full of mysteries and almost seems to be mostly built on lies. It may be hard to believe it, but the world as we know it today, came a hair-thin close from having all sparks of lives eradicated completely on the surface of the planet. Not only once, but five times.             The Ordovician-Silurian mass extinction that occurred 433 million years ago is the first, but third largest extinction in Earth's history. This mass extinction had two peak dying times separated by hundreds of thousands of years. During the Ordovician, most life was in the sea, so it was sea creatures such as trilobites, brachiopods and graptolites that were drastically reduced in number. The Late Devonian mass extinction 359 million years ago came next. It was blamed on asteroid impact, change of sea level, climate change and the coming of new plants that messed the soil. During such events, three quarters of all species on Earth died out, though it may have been a series of extinctions over several million years, rather than a single event. Life in the shallow seas were the worst affected, and reefs took a hammering devastation, not returning to their former glory until new types of coral evolved over 100 million years later. The Permian Mass Extinction 248 million years ago took place just when life is about to recover from its losses. It has been nicknamed "The Great Dying," since a staggering 96% of species died out. All life on Earth today descended from the 4% of species that survived. Then, the Triassic-Jurassic Mass Extinction dawned on earth 200 million years ago. During the final 18 million years of the Triassic period, there were two or three phases of extinction whose combined effects created the Triassic-Jurassic mass extinction event. Climate change, flood, basalt eruptions and an asteroid impact have all been blamed for this loss of life. Cretaceous-Tertiary Mass Extinction wrapped its deathly tentacles across earth 65 million years ago. Also known as the K/T extinction, it is famed for the death of the dinosaurs. However, many other organisms perished at the end of the Cretaceous including the ammonites, flowering plants and the last of the pterosaurs. Yet, somewhere in this accepted science saga, someone messed with the real tale for a reason. In the book "f*******n Archeology" authors Richard Thompson and Michael Cremo essentially stated that "academic science" was engaged in a massive cover-up regarding the history and origins of the human race on Earth. Working under a grant from the National Science Foundation in 1966, Dr. Virginia Steen-McIntyre and her team had been commissioned to date two archeological sites in Mexico – namely Hueyatlaco where very sophisticated stone tools had been unearthed and El Horno where other interesting if less sophisticated items had been discovered. Initial estimates dated the sites at 20,000 years old, which according to thinking of the time, would have put the sites close to the dawn of human civilization, at least in the Americas. Dr. Steen-Mcintyre used four clear and accepted methods to test the sites. Every time, the results that came back were the same and they were a long way off the estimates. According to Dr. Steen-McIntyre's tests, the sites were closer to 250,000 years old.             Her results went against everything "accepted science" stated. However, instead of being applauded and hailed for having made such a breakthrough in our knowledge of human history – bearing in mind she had solid results to back up her theory – she was instead ridiculed and her character vilified. She struggled to maintain steady work in her field after making her claims – a warning to others? Over a hundred years earlier, when gold was discovered in abundance at Table Mountain in California, following the digging and mining that went thousands of feet down into the earth, hundreds of stone artifacts and even human fossils were discovered. The age of the site and the remains according to the California State geologist, J.D. Whitney, was anywhere from nine to fifty-five million years old. Like Dr. Steen-McIntyre, Whitney offered abundance of evidence and in depth reports on the finds. However, despite this, he was dismissed and his findings almost "erased" from the record and history books – the site was sealed – almost as if nothing had ever been found. Perhaps even stranger are some of the South African mines, where for decades miners have brought to the surface from deep inside the mines themselves, hundreds of small metallic spheres, each with encircling parallel grooves. The site itself and the level at which these spheres are found are anywhere up to three billion years old. Despite these remarkable finds, mainstream science refuses to acknowledge them, and no studies that were seriously funded have been carried out on them or their origins. These findings would leave us where? That might just mean that an advanced civilization existed somewhere in the timeline; a little further than what accepted science tells that the dawn of mankind began at 6 to 2 million years ago. It would seem that someone has made so much effort covering something or entirely everything, but at what expense or purpose?                                                                                         PART 1                                                                                       Fated war Third Era 99th Universal Cycle, Year 7,884 19th Month, 4th Day 23rd hour-10 Minutes Thetys Sea THE ROUGH SEAS SEEM boil as a constant gale blew from a direction in an intensity that sent the water towering in enormous waves. What has been a flat sea with mild chops earlier turned into a wild body of water like it was inside the turbulence of a giant washing machine. The wind continued to howl and passed by the sea then towards the land where it would deal most of the damage. It should have been a category-5 tropical typhoon if it was in our age, but it was not. The cyclone is unleashing its fury in a world before our time.   As the typhoon gives everything it got in unspoken mission to destroy everything it can, men tracked it on colored monitors with occasional digits and letters appearing on and around the cyclone model on the screens. The men monitoring the passing cyclone have been mostly silent since the weather disturbance came and had their eyes glued on the screens ever since. The room that confines these four men on the console of panels, keyboards and screens are all aboard a submerging ship, or what must be called submarine during our present time.   "Come on," Rhjineel, the ship's fifth in command whispered on the monitor. "Do it and get over with it."   He eyed another monitor that displays date, time and temperature. The monitor showing the time and date is composed of seven colored wheels which are rotating clockwise. The innermost circle, the yellow, the one that moves often, depicts seconds. The orange and the outer circle next to it tells minute and a darker orange tells the hour. Next circles, a light blue and a darker one, tell what day of the month it is. Next ones are the light red and a darker one that tells the year and how many universal cycles had passed since their count began.   Their calendar system is the ancestor of the one used by the Mayans and those whom they have inherited it during the pre-Columbian era. The mystery of from whom did the Mayans borrowed their calendar system is still a mystery to this day. Scientists are able to pinpoint that the calendar system existed even before the rise of the Mayan civilization but cannot tell from whom it belongs to. Unknown to all of us, the calendar system was made by the Ammeians, the residents of Ammia, a civilization that rose when the supercontinent of Pangaea is still on the process of splitting into pieces.   The calendar system was based on how long each day is and was chopped into 24 hours each. Each hour is consisted of 60 minutes too. But each minute only corresponds to 30 seconds; each second is approximately equal to 2 seconds of our time or 1 complete beat cycle of the human  heart. Each year is made of 19 months wherein the first 18 months have 4 weeks each. A week is composed of 5 days that will result to 20 days for each of the first 18 months. The 19th month has only 5 days in it or 1 week. A year is composed of 365 days which was corrected by the Gregorian Calendar adding a day at the month of February once every 4 years. This calendar system however added another month once in 81 years and this additional month consist of 21 days only. The slowest and outside wheel only moves once in 7,885 years which is equal to one universal cycle.   Rhjineel saw that it is the 10th minute of the 23rd hour, night time. The date states that it is the 5th day of 19th and the last month of the year 7,884 in the 99th universal cycle. A matter of minutes, and the count will be going in a reset. First second of the new day of a new year under the different universal cycle is only few moves of the wheel. It will be a new universal year across the planet and every nation will have a big celebration of their own. He and all of the officers and crew are going to miss the celebration of Ammia. There should be plenty of fireworks and nonstop fun, but the Maine, their ship, has a fireworks of her own.   His eyes came back to the monitor showing the typhoon and felt a growing disgust about it. If only he can do something, he might had touched the rotating thing on his touch screen monitor and pushed it somewhere inland or any direction away. But even he can do something about the scale model of the typhoon, in red, orange, and yellow colors, the real weather disturbance is still out there, unleashing its fury on everything it touches. If only their nation has perfected the weather control device, this storm could be switched off as easy as if a light bulb in the room. It is a good thing the second in command ordered the ship to dive hours before the typhoon came above them. And here they are, hundreds of feet below the water surface right at the seabed with weighted anchors planted on the sands, and have no other choice than to watch the projected storm swirl in a vortex.   If only the enemies did not hit the main propulsion system, it is his second "if" that can do nothing but let him wondering what lays ahead the probable chain of events in the time continuum from the parallel universe of his ifs.   Their ship, the Maine, named after their queen, has been sent for a special mission, a task to rain down death on their former economical ally, Atlantis. After it was assembled in the dry docks of a secret naval yard, the Maine has been hurriedly tested on the seawaters. Top brasses in their military were convinced that the ship, that has a diving capability, is more than seaworthy, and was sent on a special mission. A task to slide on the backdoor and hit the enemy where it would least expects it.   The Maine is not like any other ship that the human civilization has seen. It is elongated and has a sharp nose like a bullet and has a length of 175 meters like any typhoon-class sub of our time. Manned by 32 crewmen, it has a beam of 23 meters and has a draft of 17 meters. Underwater, it could travel nearly the speed of sound using the propulsion technology that was never incepted even in our modern era. The propulsion system is something that makes chemical reaction on the water at the forward tip that encapsulates it in a bubble which in turn helps it propel faster when at the depths of the seas. It has secondary propulsion system that would make it glide on the surface of the sea like a typical ship. The secondary propulsion ends up in twin screws that pushes the ship over the water and can also be used as a back up when underwater. Both of the said propulsion systems are powered by electromagnetic engine technology which produces zero waste in emission level.   The ship was also built with a secondary engine, that is seldom used, which has a four-stroke engine that is powered by water. From the main tank, an amount of water flows in the secondary tank where they go through the process of electrolysis, the hydrogen atoms are separated from the oxygen. The combustible air particles are now harnessed through series of hoses and are injected to the pistons. Yet, this engine only propels the ship barely 10 knots on the surface and 2 knots when submerged compared to the electromagnetic one which can produce a top speed of 25 knots on the seas and 8 knots underwater using the second propulsion system, the twin screws.   The coning tower in the modern sub does not exist in the built of the Maine and guns are kept in compartments at the hull when it is submerged. The guns will only be drawn when it is on the surface or when it is needed and all are controlled by stations at a separate room from the control center. It has four torpedo compartments and is armed with a different type of ammunition compared to our modern time torpedoes. A compartment for surface-to-surface missiles is also built at the back end near to a battery of surface-to-air missiles.   Overall, The Maine is capable of defense and most specially stealth missions of offensives. But, it is still vulnerable to attacks from patrolling planes that is out of locking range of its surface-to-air missiles.   On its journey to its destination, she came across a squadron of Atlantean warplanes which fired unto her. The squadron did not sink her but had made a great damage to her primary engine, the electromagnetic engine, and also brought down their communications system. With no other choice, the Maine fought back with everything it got and brought the squadron down. It is a short feat of battle, but has made a great damage to the ship, making the captain decide for flooded room compartments to be sealed with the lives of four seamen.   From their ordeal with the enemy squadron, they went on their way and carried the precious mother lode that will be rained down on the heart of Atlantis. Then, the news of the incoming typhoon came in and the second in command ordered a dive to wait for it to pass. Now they are going behind the deadline. Their orders included being stationed on a right range to Atlantis. The first second of the new universal cycle, Atlantis must have been destroyed, but that seems not possible. The typhoon is making the mission a failure.   Rhjineel was never the talkative one, as he often says, long talks bore him to death. He prefer actions over words and never so much let most of his thoughts morph into words and leave his lips. Before he was forced to open his lips and talk, his mind has already wandered far. His wandering mind went away the confines of the Maine and drifted to a world when there was harmony throughout the supercontinent. It is a time of peace where nations prefer to use their weapons at military exercises and not against each other; a time that can only be reflected from pages of history books.   As a student, he preferred the company of books and read a variety of topics. History often captivated his young mind before he chose to take the career track of a royal soldier, or seaman. According to pages of history, he knew well, Ammia and Atlantis are economically tied to each since the beginning of time to 2,000 years ago. Even though Atlantis practices a government system that is almost similar to a mix of democracy and federalism of our time, they went along well with his country which was ruled by royalties. Ammia and Atlantis are two super-countries that co-existed in harmony along with smaller countries over the supercontinent. The gap, which morphed into a war, begun when Atlantis condemned their country for experimenting on devices that will control the weather. Ammia never perfected their weather-control device in 2,000 years of its existence, but Atlantis still condemned them for trying to mess with the weather.   Atlanteans thought that men must never mess with weathers and must leave natural things alone, and this issue caused economic separation and two separate alliances of countries all over the continent as smaller and less advanced nations came rallying behind either of the two. With the supercontinent splitting into two factions, it led into economic war and later, into arms. Battles were fought, but never in massive scales. There were just occasions about pushing back military and naval buildups, but never in tactical missions that resulted to deaths of over a hundred individuals. Yet today, Ammia wanted to hit Atlantis hard that it may end the war for good at the cost of countless lives.   Rhjineel felt his body heat up from the pressure of the mission. He noticed a slight change of color in his combat suit. He gave the combat suit which is darker in colors than what it was earlier and still marvels for its capability to change colors even he have worn many of them for years.   Their combat suit, made of artificial rubber uses a different camouflage technology. It is usually transparent and has pockets of fluid that changes in color via chemical combinations. A chipset that was programmed to change the color of the combat suit commands the chemical mixtures. Aside from helping in the color scheme, the same chipset also heats or cools the fluid so the soldiers can adapt in the changing temperatures of any terrain. Depending on the surroundings, temperature, altitude and air pressure, the suit changes into different color combinations. For example: when underwater, the suit becomes light blue with elongated patches of dark blue on the shoulders, elbows and knees. If the soldiers are in the depth of the woods, it changes into shades of green. This time, while in the confines of the ship, their suit is colored black and patches of grey ovals are on the shoulders, elbows, knees and abdomen. But when it detected a change in Rhjineel's body temperature, the shades of colors went darker than usual.   Just then, a metal door armed with sensors slid open and in came the captain, a short but big man with a stubby beard. Next are officers under his command who all stood taller than the captain. Except the engine master, all highest officers of the Maine were already packed in the room.   "News of the cyclone?" The captain asked sitting on a perched seat at the far back of the room.   "Still over us and has intensified further but became slower," Rhjineel reported the obvious on the monitors. As the ship's fifth in command, his duty is to lead the team of men in the console of monitors. "And time is not on our side."   "Damn that Atlantean squadron," the captain muttered. "If only we got the first bite out of them, our main engine may have not been damaged. We could have positioned her at firing range."   The captain looked around as if deciding what to say next. "Patch me the engine master." One of Rhjineel's team went on the controls and toggled switches on. "Engine room," the voice of the engine master went on the speaker system.   "How soon can you get the second engine going?" The captain asked flatly.   "About an hour, captain."   "You have 15 minutes."   "Yes, sir." And the line died off.   Down in the engine room, the engine master is being bathed in sweat. The secondary engine has failed to start. He is starting to blame the one who tested the Maine. Maybe they never really tested the secondary engine and mark everything a go.   Next on his crosshairs was the manufacturer of the ship. Maybe they designed her for a one way trip to rain down death on the enemy. But whoever's fault it is, the engine is not starting, not even coughing with all the efforts of his crew. It is over fifteen minutes and the captain's deadline is already way passed its due.   "Engine room," the voice of the captain came on the speakers. "Are we waiting for our grandchildren to start the engine?"   "Ah-no, sir" the engine master replied. "The secondary engine is refusing to cooperate."   "You got another 15 minutes."   "Aye, sir."   It is over midnight but the engine has not started yet. Little did they know that they are a crew of doomed men fated to die in the confines of a diving ship.
