Jenna could not get over the fact that the person who used to work for her was now an even bigger actress than she ever was.
She was filled with so much bitterness and hate when she thought of it. As soon as she latched herself onto a rich sugar daddy, Jenna got herself the second lead role in Bridget's new drama.
What she wanted was the lead role, but according to her sugar daddy, the director would not compromise on that no matter what, and so she had to settle.
Jenna glared at Bridget. She could not stand that smug, calm look on her face. As long as she didn't pull this woman down, then she would never be satisfied.
Lily got in the middle of both women and pushed Jenna away from Bridget.
"I don't know what you're planning, Jenna, but you had better leave Bridget alone. Don't think that you can still bully her like you did back then," Lily warned her, a fierce look in her eyes.
Jenna threw her head back and laughed sarcastically. "You are even working as her manager now? You used to work for me before. To think that you guys are the people who used to be beneath me, doing everything I asked just so they could survive. What do you think your fans are going to think when they find out about this, Bridget? Do you still think that you are going to be that perfect idol in their eyes?" Jenna asked in a threatening tone.
Bridget had a relaxed look on her face as she stared at Jenna. Once she got over the initial shock, she figured that Jenna was not someone for her to be scared of.
She was just trying to hold on to her past glory as a top actress, although no one cared about her now.
"I have never hidden who I was from my fans, Jenna. I used to work as an assistant before; it wasn't anything degrading, so I don't think I have anything to be ashamed of," she said.
Bridget turned to the director. "It doesn't seem like we will be able to talk about the drama much since Jenna isn't in a good mood today. We will just have to shift this meeting to another time," Bridget said.
She also wasn't in the mood to bother with Jenna.
The director nodded his head knowingly. "Don't worry about it; we can talk about this later," he said as he watched Bridget leave with her manager.
He could sense the high tension in the air, and the director had a feeling that filming wasn't going to go seriously.
Jenna stomped her foot on the ground angrily. She had come here to show Bridget who was the boss, but she didn't even take her seriously at all.
"Is this how an actress should behave? Who does she think she is? Just because she has some fame now? Call her; call her and tell her to come back. There's something we need to discuss!" Jenna demanded as she glared at the director.
The director took a deep breath as he tried to calm his temper. He really didn't like Jenna, but because of the person she had backing her, he had to be nice to her.
"Bridget just arrived in the city, and she is tired; we can always have this conversation later," he said simply.
"But I said I want to have it now!" Jenna said, throwing a tantrum.
In the past, she always had a bunch of people with her, and everyone was always sucking up to her and doing whatever she asked.
Now, she constantly felt as if they weren't taking her seriously at all, and that drove her crazy!
Who were these people to look down on her?
"Who do you think you are to make demands here?" The director sneered when he could not tolerate Jenna's attitude anymore.
"Bridget is the female lead, and she can do whatever she wants. She can come and go as she pleases. Who do you think you are?" The director continued.
Jenna's eyes went wide as she tried to look for an appropriate response, but she could not come up with anything.
She knew that in this industry, your popularity determined your status and how people treated you. Hadn't she also done the same when she was the top actress?
"Since you got into this production team through the backdoor, I hope that you can do your best and not try to cause trouble, or else, I am just going to kick you out. There's nothing the person behind you will be able to do then, the director warned Jenna.
He wasn't willing to look at her face anymore, and so he just turned and walked out of the meeting hall.
Jenna screamed into the empty room as she pulled on her hair.
A few strands were pulled off, and Jenna screamed even more.
She had a crazed look on her face as she blamed Bridget over and over again in her mind.
This was all that woman's fault, and she would make her pay for this!
......
"I can't believe this. What does the director take you for? Does he think that you need to act in this drama? If he's not willing to treat you well, then we can just leave the production team. There's no reason we need to be insulted and picked on by Jenna," Lily complained as both women got into the car.
Bridget got into the backseat and closed her eyes. "Don't worry about it; the director seemed helpless too. Besides, Jenna seems determined to make things difficult for me. Even if I leave this drama, she's going to follow me and cause problems wherever I go. Am I supposed to just stop acting because she's annoying?" Bridget asked with a shrug.
Jenna was no longer the person she was in the past, and so dealing with her should be easy.
Lily, however, was worried. She had worked for Jenna before, and she knew the woman was a vindictive witch.
"If she has it out for you, it might be difficult for you to deal with her. I think...we should ask for Cole's help.”
