Tensions

Aiden returned to the hideout and traipsed himself into it. He felt devastated and wondered how it will suit Jacob and Jason that they are orphans. He had been an orphan since ten, same for Ix and Luke who had not a single memory of their parent. He also would hate to see Michelle and Rebecca breaking down to see their loved ones dead. He walked slowly like a zombie to the room he was kept in and raised his eyes into the cavity that Schinx went. "Everyone they could return to are dead," Aiden said. "I knew it will be," Schinx said and jumped out. "You knew? Then, you should have saved them," Aiden countered. "How many? I don't know them. And you all are unfinished projects that shouldn't go to the public. Who do you think was responsible for their deaths? Kinini the death Vader, an original. The first child of the Williams, the strongest of all. He knew I would be there to save you and he hurt me first. Now he's more worried that you're not found. It's the best way to start this thing," he said. "You know all that, they don't. Do you know what it feels like to lose one's parents?" Aiden said. "They won't know what it feels if they were home when the attackers came. They will know what it feels because they are here. Because I found them first. They are simply living today to fight tomorrow," Schinx answered. "I can't stand to break the news. Maybe you should," Aiden said and relaxed his back against the wall. Schinx walked out of the room and in the respite that followed, Aiden heard cries and heard chains clanging. He held his hands by the sides of his head and blocked his ears but it was not enough. The agony needed not his ears to penetrate, it was striking his heart and he could feel their pain. He knew why - he was the alpha. When the cries subsided after half an hour, Aiden walked in and saw the group in utmost serenity. Their eyes were reddened but they all were calm. Aiden wished he know what Schinx had preached to them. However, it wasn't as he had thought. Schinx was still with them, looking into their eyes and holding up a sorrier expression. "Vengeance is said to bring emptiness. But a vengeance that brings emptiness is one-directional. When I speak of vengeance, I speak of it as one that is personal yet not fully personal. Killing these bastards doesn't bring them back, but it hinders them from taking more from this world," Schinx said. "How do I get them?" Jacob asked. "Yes, where?" Jason added. "Right now, you're unfinished. If you face Kinini or any opponent like this, you'd be reunited with your parents in the afterworld. I have to train you," Schick said. "When do we complete the training?" Rebecca queried. "As I have told you, the birth is tonight. The ritual will be completed tonight, then I will tell you what to do. Tomorrow you will be free from this place, free to return soon. Then will I give you the scheme you'd work with," Schinx said. "You won't go away, will you?" Aiden asked. "I have to go into hibernation," Schinx replied. "Hey, you don't bring us into this and just leave," Ix retorted. "Hades is coming with his army. We broke out, didn't we? Yes, we did. He will visit earth to recapture his prisoners of which Kinini isn't among anymore. His bail has been paid," Schinx said. "What? So what happens if you're taken?" Aiden enquired. "Your powers leave you. You become human. Kinini kills you and continue his reign on earth. I have to remain alive for you to live," Schinx answered. "f**k. We're damned," Jacob said. "Death can't be killed. So there is no point in trying to win against Hades. All I have to do is survive the survey that is coming," Schinx huffed. "I will unchain you. Understand that a search is going on. You may be found at sight," Schinx began pacing across the room. "You have speed, strength, sight and powers beyond this realm. However, there are powers that can decapitate you in seconds and you need to know how to survive. First, your birth needs to be actualized before the training commences. Tonight, you will turn fully into what you will be onwards. It is a life you would hate, love, and come to hate in the end," as Schinx said, he cut out Ix's chain. "Ix, you are gifted to see things. Her role is very important in the pack," Schinx said and turned to face Aiden. Aiden observed Ix as she sat, placed he feeble feet on the floor and sobbed again. "When you feel things, you say it, okay?" Schinx said calmly into Ix's ear and went on to Rebecca. "Rebecca has great interrelationship abilities and her calmness would welcome her in the most fierce places. She is the scout in here," Schinx undid her chain and she rushed to hug Ix. The girls cried together. Schinx walked toward Michelle. "Your knowledge about herbs will widen. Healer, that is who you're destined to be," Schinx turned to face Aiden. "What do you call her in modern-day?" "Medic," Aiden answered. "Oh, I see. Medic. In the pack setting, salutary, that is what she is. You will know the helpful and healing herbs when you see them. The discernment of the harmful one is given to you. Use it for the growth of the pack, she-lad," Schinx said and walked towards the JJ twins. "These two, Jason and Jacob will be the sentinels. The gate to the pack. Whatever leaves and enters leaves and enters through you. You shall guard the border and the territory. It is not a coincidence that you're a gemini. I once had Willos and Willis in my pack. Their spirit is in you. It has and will always be in your bloodline. You too have the strongest and realest telepathy communication. You can speak without voices. You will hear and feel each other," Schinx said and walked towards Luke. "Won't you unchain us?" Jacob said and struggled with his chain. Jason too. "Aiden will free you," Schinx answered. "Now, this will be the next in command, the beta. Your strength is immeasurable. Your speed is infinite. You have a twisted fate, one I won't say," Schinx turned to face Aiden and pointed to him. "This lad here, this weak soul with the call to lead will surely lead," Schinx walked close to him and placed his hand on Aiden's shoulder. "Your livelihood depends on him. Do you know how rogues are made? Some are banished from the alpha and that converts to a curse. He is connected to you all and when he orders you feel the need to listen. Enviable is the post, and worthy of being coveted is the conch, but he is the target of all foes. He will lead you to battle. He need not say who he is. Foes will feel it," Schinx walked towards Aiden. Aiden was feeling a mixture of small ecstasy and fear. He was the founder yet the covert leader of the cult but here, he was pronounced the leader. Being exposed to more danger than the rest was a thing he couldn't resist being bewildered about. He hoped to see all things turning out on the positive side. When Schinx reached Aiden, he said audibly, "Release Jason and Jacob and Luke," then, he whispered. "They would try to go out, I can read them. It is time, it is never too early, it only can be too late. You should start exerting your dominance as the leader. At your sincerer shout and fiat from the depth of your heart, a heart that connects you all, they will be forced to bow and be bonded to your order. Use it," Schinx said and walked out. Aiden walked close to them. His eyes picked on Ix staring as he went and they never said a word to each other. He broke Luke's chain and Luke rushed up and paced through the room. He broke JJ's chains as well and they did the same. "We should strategize and decide on our own. We can't be grounded by his rules. Our parents are massacred and–" "Calm, Jason," Aiden interrupted. "No, Aiden. They all lose their parents. If we have one, we would lose ours too. They can't be calmed," Luke said. Jason and Jacob stood and charged towards Aiden, Luke behind them. Rebecca and Michelle stood too, Aiden retreated and then stood his ground. "You-should-sit-back-down," Aiden said. "Don't tell us what to do, ever," Jacob said. "You-should-sit-back-down," Aiden repeated. "Are you nuts?" Michelle said aloud. "Nobody is going anywhere until the training is complete," Aiden shouted and silence prevailed. They all stared back and only heaved. Slowly they turned to sit on the platform they earlier lay. Aiden walked out and met Schinx in the corridor with his hands crossed across his chest. "You! You shall lead. You shall grow along the line. You are not fated to die young and if you'll die young, it will be from the inside. Luke will turn out against you. Your decision from then would decide your fate. You shall deviate and take unto yourself things that will harm you. You shall bear the marks of your consequences. Whether you will win this feat or lose depends on your inner wits. Be careful, Aiden," Schinx said and walked towards the entrance where there was his cavity in the roof. He paused as an afterthought and smiled at Aiden. "They are bounded by your orders until the late hours of today when I'll take you out for training. Go and rest, for now, you have a long journey ahead of you." At Schinx's words, Aiden sighed when he lay on the platform. It had been complicated from start but it had become more complicated and bogus with the prophecies. He fell asleep trying to fathom the future.
