Willard ignored and placed a call across to his maid, Rebecca, "Bring my daughter to the living room."
Sally wanted to protest when he heard the man refer to Loretta as his daughter but this was not the time, she was more concerned about seeing her daughter now.
Sally waited impatiently in the living room and all of a sudden, she saw a slightly aged woman and her daughter stepping down the stairs, once they began to approach her, Sally ran to Loretta and carried her.
She hugged her in her chest tightly as though she would never let her go again. Loretta discerned that her mother was crying so she frowned and struggled to leave the embrace of Sally.
"Sweetheart, why are you trying to step down?" Sally questioned her daughter.
"I need to talk to Daddy," Loretta said and kept struggling until Sally placed her down.
Did this girl not realize how much she had missed her? And now that she sees her again, she is talking about speaking to one 'daddy."
What could this man have told her daughter?
Loretta walked to Willard with a contorted look, prior, she had been smiling with Willard but at the moment, she was frowning.
Neither Sally nor Willard could tell what was making Loretta frown.
Loretta finally spoke," daddy, why did you bully Mom?"
Willard was shocked at his daughter's words, she wasn't even there when he and Sally were exchanging words, which makes her think she bullied her.
Willard squatted before Loretta and held her two little palms," how can I bully, mummy?"
"Dad, are you lying? if you did not bully Mom, why did she have tears on her face, then?" when Loretta said those words, Sally touched her face and couldn't see any tears there. The tears had dried up but Loretta still noticed it.
"That…she was crying because she missed you, I didn't bully your mom," Willard explained.
Loretta turned to Sally," Mom, is that true?" Loretta asked as though she was ready to fight for her mother should she confirm that Willard truly bullied her mummy.
Sally was glad for a moment when she saw her daughter's reaction, she loved the fact that her daughter was defending her and was ready to fight for her at her little age.
Instead of answering Loretta's question, Sally said," This man here is Mr Willard, he only looks like you, he's not your father?"
Loretta turned to Willard and looked straight into his face then turned back to Sally," Is that SO?"
"Yes, of course, he's trying to abduct you cause he looked like you and also, he's barren, he has not been able to have a child for many years so if by any chance he sees any child who looks him, he would claim such child with his power," Sally was trying to convince her daughter without caring about the presence of Willard.
Willard frowned when she heard what Sally said. He had not slept with any woman yet because he was not ready to have a child not because he was barren but because this woman was telling her daughter what she assumed without even giving a damn about his presence.
"Daddy, promise that you won't let mummy cry anymore?" Loretta asked to Sally's surprise. Sally didn't expect that after what she said, her daughter would still refer to the man before her as her daddy.
As far as Loretta was concerned, she has found her daddy and nothing could change it.
Willard couldn't give his daughter a precise answer, a woman like Sally deserves to cry even more, how could he promise his daughter not to make that woman cry anymore?
"I'll see what I can do about it," Willard answered his daughter.
Loretta removed her two hands from the grip of Willard," If you did not promise me, then I won't like you again, Daddy. I'll look for another father."
Willard knitted his eyes and shot a disdainful look at Sally then faced Loretta, "Loretta, I'll always be your father…" When he saw that Loretta was serious about the promise she was asking him to make, he felt choiceless and let out a heavy sigh.
"Okay… I promise not to let mummy cry again," Willard said and Loretta hugged her.
"Thank you, dad. You are the best," Loretta became elated at once.
"Dad, did you show the result of the DNA test to mummy?" Loretta asked.
"I did but she did not believe it," Willard answered his daughter.
Loretta faced Sally who had an angry look on her face, she hated the fact that her daughter and Willard were getting along. But then, she hardly saw her daughter smile. Seeing her smile now makes her feel at ease.
"Mom, did you think the doctors were lying?" Loretta faced her mother and asked.
"Loretta, let's go home," Sally ignored her daughter's question and said. She just wanted to leave that place.
Loretta frowned at once and turned sullenly back to Willard," It seems mummy did not like you, did you hurt her in the past?"
"I didn't even…" Willard paused, he wanted to tell Loretta that he had never even met Sally in the past but how would he explain how he was able to give birth to her if he had never met with her mom?
Willard coughed briefly and answered," I've never hurt mummy, she's just being obnoxious."
"You are the obnoxious one here," Sally said sharply.
Sally walked to her daughter and held her by her wrist, "Let's leave."
"I have some toys to give her," Willard quickly said. He wasn't ready to let his daughter off his sight yet. He had not felt the happiness he was feeling for a long time. He was so happy meeting with his daughter and he wanted to spend a lot of time with her but this obnoxious woman was disrupting his plan.
"Mom, Daddy has some toys to get me, let him give me them first before we leave," Loretta said.
Sally huffed and asked," Where are the toys?"
Willard placed a call across to Manuel, once he answered, he said," Bring the toys for Loretta." He hung up without waiting for her reply.
There were no baby toys in the villa, he would have to get them at the mall but his boss made it look like he had it somewhere kept, he understood that his boss only wanted to spend more time with his kid so he ignored and continued what he was doing. He planned on going to get the toys five hours later.
"Have your seat, Manuel is bringing the toys," Manuel gestured to Sally...
Loretta went to sit on her dad's lap and was playing with his dark curly hair Sally was very jealous but there was nothing she could do at the moment.
Once she gets the toys, she will leave here immediately.
