Alpha King's kidnapped Mate

The Letter

Allistar wakes up in the middle of the night.

Drops of sweat slowly slide from his head.

Another nightmare. "Fuck." - he curses. Alpha tosses the covers from his enormous kingsize bed and goes to the bathroom to splash his sweaty face. He looks himself in the mirror, not recognizing who he is anymoore. If it wasn't for his Lycan, he would kill himself long time ago.

Ten years. Ten, long, sad years has passed.

It still hurt the same. The thought that he lost her, that he was not there when she needed him.... that is what haunts Alpha's dreams. Allistar takes a deep breath in holding himself for a sink. His muscles start to tremble, his chest rises up and down...

Pain is the only emotion he knows for since she is gone. He breaks the glass with his fists and starts to howl so loud everyone could hear him. Beast cries with him, as always. After all, they felt the same pain, they understood, noone else could have.

Alpha King seemed 20 years older from when he had met his little Mate.

He never smiled, his black curly hair was now long, it fell to his shoulders. The scars on his hands, chest and his face showed a Lycan that loved a good fight, but also that he always protected his pack, despite anything. For anyone who knew him closely, you could see that he became less cautious about himself, that the sadness overhelmed his soul and he did not want to live in the world without her.

"Wanna go for a run, my friend?" - Jimm abruptly enters his thoughts.

Alpha smiles back, with all of his broken soul. His Beta was his rock, the best friend any male could ever have. He followed him all of his life, trough good and the bad.

Allistar slides down the stairs of his big, lonely mansion, opens the door and sits down on the patio. Jimm was already there, with a cigarette in hands. They smoke in peace. " You know, we should focus more on Europe. We didnt search everywhere yet. There are villages far away from the big cities where one could easily hide..." - Jimm states with excitment. He never lost hope and never will. Beta believed their Luna is alive, he refused to think his friend deserved a life without his Mate.

That was impossible , Allistar was the gentlest, old sould there is. He just didn't show it to the others.

" Do you think I would feel if something happened to her?"- Alpha asks cautiously his friend.

"For sure, Al. Doesn't matter where, you would feel the pain of the mate bond , the emptiness of her being gone."- the elders swear on this.

"Mhm"- Alpha nods his head as an answer and gets up.

" Go home to your Mate, friend. Thank you ."

"Good night, Alpha, we will continue the search tommorow . "- Jimm says and walks away home, where Jenny, his beautiful Mate, waited for him.

Exhausted. Broken. Irritated.

That is how Alpha King felt when loud knocking on his frontdoor woke him up, couple of hours later.

" Someone wants to die this morning."- he thought not getting up.

The knocking persisted even after he yelled minaciously " GO AWAY" , so now he was putting on grey shorts to be decent while punching the i***t who woke him up.

Two persons were waiting at the door.

There was Hector, young Lycan who was trained by Alpha, personally and Lilly.

Lilly was the old witch that lived with a pack and Al cared deeply of her.

"What's wrong?"- he asks immidiately feeling how tense they both are.

"Alpha...", Lilly continues with a shaky voice, " You received a letter this morning." She gulps.

" So, you two decided to bring me the letter personally because...", he stops his sentence, waiting for an answer.

Lilly continues to look cautiously in Alpha's eyes.

Hector steps in saying: " ... because of the name writen on the envelope, Alpha."

The silence that continued was strange, with a hint of excitment coming from both of them. Allistar frowns his nose and whispers out of desperation.

"Tell me the name, now."- he commands with his Alpha Lycan's voice.

They tremble both, but Lilly looks him with tear in her eye and whispers: " Caterina".
