Almost a Teenager
I’m 12 years old now and I’m even more grown up than my age. I write poems a lot to try and express how I feel sometimes. It makes me feel better. My life is okay I guess. Still kinda lonely and sad at times. There is still a lot of fighting going on around here. My brother, Darrell is still fighting with his wife, Jackie, all the time and I think the cops were even at their house last weekend. Oh, and they now live in a house around the corner from us.
I’m learning a lot about my brothers now. Things I didn’t understand when I was younger. Darrell is on drugs. That’s what makes him act weird. I don’t know if Jackie is or not.
