The recruits first mission came earlier than expected. One night, while everyone was preparing to go to bed, we suddenly heard the emergency alarm. Carla, Alexa and I gave each other confused glances before dashing out of the room.
We found where the other recruits were being assembled and stood in line with them.
“What's going on?” I whispered to Jody and he shrugged. He clearly had no idea. The Captain was nowhere to be found but a high-ranking soldier addressed us instead.
