Peyton and his partner stood by the door confused. They didn't know whether to proceed inside or not, as Kevin did not remember to invite them in.
The first thought in his head was to push past them and race to the Chief. He quickly discarded the idea, turning around instead to go get his phone.
As he was heading to his chamber, he recalled that the door was still open and looked back.
