CHAPTER TWO Damon's POV

I stood by the giant 5 foot tall window with curtains open in the wake of the morning with my upper torso bare as I reflected on the reports about the pack's activities handed to me by my Beta,Seraphine.
I also thought about my arranged marriage to Lucia Silverveil who was betrothed to me as a sign of goodwill from her parents.
“I don’t really love her”,I muttered to myself. “After all she is just a tool used by her parents to remain in my favour after years of support on my way to becoming Alpha”,I added with a sigh of relief on my face.
As I turned my back to move towards my wardrobe, I was approached by Shreda who had walked in just after slightly opening the door.
She wore a transparent purple linen gown with violet color which hugged her hourglass figure bringing out her shape.
Her lips were moist and red which complemented her fair skinned complexion.
“Good morning,my Alpha”,she greeted as she curtsied before me.
“Good morning,Sweetheart”,I responded as I came closer towards her and the pupils of my eyes dilated.
“I came to check on how you were doing”,she said as she met my gaze.
“I am doing great dear.Just reflecting on the activities within the pack”,I said with a broad smile on my face as I approached her further.
“You are beautiful”,I said as I grabbed her by the waist with my muscular arms pulling her towards me.
“Damon…promise me that we will remain together after marrying that peasant",she said softly as she placed her arms around my neck with her eyes meeting mine
“I promise”,I muttered softly as we locked lips for a passionate kiss.
I felt my body yearning for her the more as we kissed passionately while slowly turning her back to face the bed.
I took of her clothes and with two of the fingers on my right hand,I unhooked her white transparent bra as I carried her onto the bed.
After minutes of foreplay,I began thrusting into her forcefully as she moaned intensely.
“What!….Damon!”,Lucia screamed with her eyes wide open and her left hand covering her mouth interrupting our pleasurable experience in the process.
“No….I can’t believe you are doing this to me”,she said soberly with tears flowing down her cheeks as she dropped to her knees.
“Shreda is who I truly love”,I said as I came down from the bed with a smirk on my face.
My wolf become downcast as I met the gaze of Lucia sobbing while still on her knees.
“I’m the Alpha’s true love”,Shreda said with a smirk as she came down from the bed and put on her underwears and clothes.
“I hate you….!”,Lucia screamed as she threw her arms towards my chest with fist clinged together that blood began appear from them.
I restrained her by forcing her arms down before sharing a passionate kiss with Shreda after which she left the room.
“Sorry dear but my heart belongs to someone else”,I said still putting on my clothes.
“Then I am calling off the wedding she said”,she muttered wiping her tears with her right palm.
“Now get out!”,I ordered pointing my arm toward the door.
My wolf still remained downcast at my treatment of Lucia but I didn’t care.
“If she is calling off the wedding then I am going to have a talk with her parents to discuss another way of making her my property”,I said to myself with a smirk on my face.
I then moved towards my wardrobe to put on my white shirt,Black trousers and Blue robe. As I stepped out in the throne room,I bumped into Elder Silverveil who apparently came into the palace to see me.
He had an anxious look on his face with drops of sweat on his forehead as he approached me
“Good morning,Alpha”,he greeted, bowing his head with his fists clutched together.
“Please we need to talk”,he said. “Lucia has decided to call off the wedding stating that her reason for doing so is because of your infidelity with Shreda Darkpelt”,he added.
“I have told our friends and well wishers that the wedding no longer holds and they have expressed mixed feelings”,he said placing his right on his chin pondering about the situation
“Does it mean you don’t love her at all?”he asked, having a curious look on his face.
“Elder…my heart belongs to someone else not your daughter.I only agreed to marry her as a sign of goodwill between your family and I.
“The only alternative then is for you to give her to me freely to be one of my workers”,I said with a smirk on my face.
“If that’s your wish,then it’s ok by me”,he said with a tight-lipped smile as we shook hands.
“We will see by next tomorrow”,he said before bowing and departing.
I then proceeded to the dining table to have my breakfast. As I enjoyed my breakfast,I was approached by Shreda who pulled one of the chairs and sat by my side watching me with a broad smile.
“Sweetheart, I hope you are not still planning to make that adopted peasant your mate?”,she asked
with her eyes meeting my gaze.
“Why would I do such a despicable thing dear?”I asked, pausing the grinding of the food in my mouth as I also met her gaze.
“Why would I want to wolfless maiden to be my mate?”,I added as I resumed the chewing of my food.
I felt my wolf downcast but I ignored and brushed it off.
Besides Lucia is not a wolf therefore she is not qualified to be my mate.
Shreda is who I truly love and she is a wolf which is good for bearing strong and powerful offspring to succeed me as Alpha.
