THE PAINS GREW WORSE

Lucian came to pay his brother a little visit.

“What do you want?” Vagon asked as he appeared in front of him.

“I heard my little brother got married so I came to see my little sister in law.....” Lucian smiled but Vagon eyes darkened

“No one is seeing her.....how about you say something reasonable.....wine please...” Vagon took a sit.

Inside the room Glint was too curious and went out. She didn’t forget to grab her sword with her. She hated the fact that she was wearing a traditional gown now!

The demon guards stopped her as she was about to enter the hall.

“Let me in!” Her tone was demanding

“You little human! If not for our king I’d have suck your blood dry and feed your flesh to the dark eyes kids!”

Glint hate it most when she’s being discriminated “Let me in! I won’t repeat myself!”

Before they knew it they were already on the ground as Glint forced her way in.

She was surprised to see the person talking to Vagon, you don’t have to be told that was his brother, the resemblance was too strong.

Glint was angry she drag out her sword “Your prick!” She yelled and attacked Lucian.

Vagon was surprised ‘I thought I told her to stay in doors?’ even though he was surprised he let his wife dealt with his brother.

“Brother! Tell her to stop attacking me!”

“If I can kill you right now I’ll know it’s remaining three other pricks I’ll kill!” Glint yelled

“Three? Why three?” Vagon asked

“If only I could kill you first!” After saying that, Glint attacked Lucian again. Seeing his brother wasn’t going to stop his human wife, Lucian had no choice but to disappear.

Glint was so angry “what do you think you’re doing?!” She yelled

“What’s wrong?” Vagon asked as he sip his wine

“That’s our enemy! How can you dine with him?!”

“Before he became our enemy he was my brother.....” he smiled

“Do you even have a brain!.....” Glint asked as she started walking outside

Vagon appeared in front of her “and where do you think you’re going?”

“Am leaving this place! Am telling everyone that you’re not to be trusted!”

Hearing this Vagon got angry “you’re not going anywhere! Not without my permission!” His eyes were bloodshot! How dare she talk to him like that.

“Why don’t you watch me!” Glint yelled and as she took another step but she fell down with her hands on her neck. The pains where back and it was worse than before “aaahhhhh.....” she cried out.... Glint has never felt anything like this.....tears which refuses to drop where in her eyes. “Vagon....Vagon...Vagon!!!!!....” she cried out but the pain never left. She look up at him but he was just standing there looking at her with an angry expression. “Do something!” She cried “it’s not working! Please! It hurts!” Glint let go of her pride and begged for the first time in her life.

“Why should I help you?” Vagon was so angry at her. He wanted to pamper her and spoil her but she anger him too much.

“You......ahhhh.......uhmmmm......you put this mark on me!”

“You’re being too disobedient and do whatever you like! So why don’t I punish you!” Vagon smirk. “Come hold my hands and the pains will go away.....” he said.

Glint glared at him....she drag her body towards him just as she was about to hold his hands she pass out because of extreme pain.

Vagon look at her neck and frown.

“My Lord. Should we take her back to the room?” The guard asked as he was about to touch her but with one look, Vagon set him flying until he landed hard on the ground.

“No one dare touch her!” He personally carried her to the room.

Kyla smiled as she heard what happened yesterday and she had her hopes up “Does that mean Vagon doesn’t love her?” She smiled.

“Miss, if she’s dangerous to the King why did he bring her here?”

“That’s why I gathered all of you here. We have to find a way to kill her!” Kyla said

“Kill her? That won’t be easy! She....she has the red dragon mark! It’ll be impossible to touch her!”

“Leave it to me.....just do as I say and I’ll handle her myself!”

Vagon stare at her small and pale face. “Stubborn!” He whispered as he touched the tip of her nose. His eyes draft to her lips....even though it looks dry, it was still tempting to kiss

“What have you done to me girl?” He asked as he smiled even more.

“Bruce......” Glint murmured in her sleep

The smile wipe out his face as she was smiling and calling the name Bruce

“Shadow!!!!” The call was intense as his shadow showed up “Sire!”

“Who is this Bruce? Bring me his head!”

“But My Lord....that’s her lordship godfather....”

“Oh.....uhmmm.....”

“I’ll go bring you his head...”

“Stop right there! Don’t......don’t kill him..... I’ll be going to Drahanam for a meeting.....while am gone take care of her....”

“Sire! I have to come with you......Kyla....”

“Seriously why is everyone disobeying me?! Just stay with her! If I need you I’ll summon you!”

Upon Vagon’s arrival everyone’s face look bittered. Reading their minds they all thought he’d came with Glint, they should all dream on.

“Vagon......you didn’t come with her?” Sasara asked

“With her....... you mean....?” Vagon played dumb

“Glint.....”

“Oh you mean my wife....hahaha.... after our wedding night, you don’t think she’ll be able to come with me do you? I left her still sleeping on my bed before coming........” immediately Trevor heard this he pulled his sword and point it at Vagon.

“Trevor what are you doing?!” King Coles yelled. Everyone was surprised, yes everyone was angry with what Vagon was saying but Trevor took it too far, they can’t afford to annoy Vagon.

“Father....!!! We don’t need this bastard.....let’s just bring Glint back!”

“Coles.....you should control your son......I heard you’re a good friend to my wife, if not, I’d have end your miserable life......” Vagon’s voice was calm but deep and chilling.

Trevor felt cold shiver in his spine, his hands where already shaking as he saw his sword melting.

“Guards! Take the Prinve out! He’s constituting nuisance.....”

Outside the war room, Trevor couldn’t understand himself. When Vagon was talking about Glint just now he felt his heart tightened and he just wanted to cut off Vagon’s tongue.

“Why am I like this?” He murmured.

“Your highness are you okay?” Marvin rush to his side “what happened just now? Why would you do something so stupid?”

“Marvin.......I don’t know......I just...... Let’s go bring Glint back!”

“What? Are you out of your mind? Inasmuch I want to bring her back but it’s impossible and it’s definitely won’t be possible now!” Marvin said

“Marvin.....I feel like I would die if I don’t see Glint.....”

“Why.......what are you even saying?!”

“I DON’T KNOW!!!!! I......I can’t even understand myself anymore since she left.....I felt I’ve lost something big in my life...... I want her back....”

“Don’t tell me........” Marvin paused as he looked at Trevor again “Are you in love with Glint?”

Immediately Marvin said that Trevor felt a sweet part in his heart, his expression seem to lighten up.

“Trevor! Don’t tell me........”

“Marvin!!!! I......I think am I love with Glint......no..... I am in love with her..... I love her!”

“Trevor what are you saying?! Can you hear yourself?! It’s too late! And what about Casandra?”

“No.....it’s not too late..... I’ll go in there and tell everyone what I feel for Glint and.....”

“And what?! Damn! They really said love can make the smartest man foolish..... So you think if you admit your feelings for her the demon king would gladly give her to you? Can’t you see he too favors Glint?”

“Why are you talking as if you don’t want Glint back!”

“Trevor I do want my sister back......but think about the nation first. We should take things slow.....”

Inside the war room.

“Athvy have a clan at the south, if we pay a surprise attack am very sure we’ll wipe them out at once.....” Mkasa said

“Good idea....I’ll send my men.....”

Vagon chuckled.

“Vagon we are not here to joke!” Mkasa yelled. Damn he hate this guy

“You think Athvy men are that easy to kill? So far I’ve gathered information that Athvy and my brothers have joined forces with Werewolves and other devil knows who creatures.....”

“Werewolves? They.....they exist?” King Coles panicked

“As a matter of fact yes Your Majesty. Years ago when I was outside the walls my men and I came across them but they where long dead....” General Scout said

“Why didn’t you tell me this?!” King Coles yelled

“Your Majesty forgive my foolish. I didn’t want to disturb you about such matters.....”

“Vagon what do we do?” King Coles asked

“Shadow....” he murmured and immediately he appeared. Just then Trevor and Marvin returned to the room

“My Lord....”

“How’s my wife?” Vagon asked first

“She’s still resting, looks like she was exhausted yesterday” Shadow replied. Everyone misunderstood and their eyes darkened. Shadow was only saying she was exhausted because Vagon tormented her with the pain yesterday.

“Good......how can we attack the south?”

“Sire.....the south clan is too strong, if we attack we will be victorious but we will lose many of our men. Let’s attack the north first......”

“Attacking the north will only send notice to Athvy and it’ll be too troublesome......”

“If it’s not trouble then what am I looking for?” Vagon smiled

“Vagon!!!!!!” Mkasa was frustrated

“Vagon! You know Athvy more than anyone.....if you think attacking the north first will be good then fine.....that case is settled” Sasara said “we are to bring our army to the walls as we prepare and train for attack. We’ll train for three days....”

Vagon stood up while Sasara was still talking “I’ll see you in three days then....”

“Three days? We are to assemble here tomorrow....” Sasara frown

“I don’t care....I do what I like and mind you, am still in my honeymoon don’t you think I should spend more time with my beloved? She’ll be angry if I don’t satisfy her....” Shadow was surprised what was Vagon saying?

“I’ll take my leave now....”

Glint woke up and her body felt light. She felt her stomach groan. Looking round the room she found out she was alone.

“Am starving!” She hissed, she remembered she haven’t eaten anything since she came here. She immediately missed home.

The door opened and Kyla walked in.

“You’re awake” she said but Glint just look at her and then look away. Kyla felt like killing her already. Her eyes caught the red tattoo behind her neck, jealousy crush her heart, she was suppose to be the one....she had long dreamed and work hard to be the one with that mark but this mere human took everything away. ‘I’ll make sure I get rid of you.....no one take what’s mine.....’

“Vagon is not around.....I’ll guard you throughout today....”

“Am hungry....” Glint said

“I’ve asked my girls to prepare some human food for you, I don’t know what you like so I got every kind.....” Kyla forced a smile

“You don’t have to act like you like me or something.... I don’t like you either.....”

“That make things clear then....” Kyla’s eyes darkened “You know I want you dead....”

“Likewise, but too bad you can’t even touch a strain of my hair....” Glint smiled as she took a bite from the apple. “You didn’t poison this did you?”

“And what if I did?” Kyla asked

“Vagon will kill you.....” Glint said plainly before taking another bite. Kyla crushed her long nails into her palm, she felt this human was a threat.

Glint eat a lot, after eating she stood up but she sat down again. The pain is back. She hold her neck and shut her eyes.

The demons around saw what was going on and they all panicked, could it be Kyla really poisoned her? They are all doomed.

“Aaaahhhhh......” Glint cried out “Vagon.....Vagon......!!!!” She called, why wasn’t it working? The pain grew worse.

“What.....what’s going on? Cut the act I didn’t poison you or do anything to you....” Kyla panicked she glared at her girls “what did you put in her food?!”

“Nothing Miss......we swear.....!”

Kyla looked closely as Glint fell on the ground. The mark was glowing.....burning more like.....that means.....Vagon hasn’t sealed the mark yet! They haven’t slept together.......

Kyla smiled as she almost jump up for joy..... ‘That means.....she still have a chance with Vagon......’

Glint cried out again.....every demon where scare to even get close to here.....they all panicked and watch her cry and scream in pains.

Vagon arrived to his realm and felt something was off. He quickly took himself to her side....

He met her crying and whining on the floor.

“Glint.......” he called and quickly wrap her on his arms......
