“I'm here today to—” Adrian paused, clenching his jaws. This was hard, but he had no choice. “To correct the allegations that Lucian is a thief and a bully. He is innocent and all the accusations leading to his expulsion yesterday were unjustified,”
“The thing is that I—” Adrian held his breath, his pulse racing in his chest. His palms went clammy and he swallowed hard. “Lucian never stole. I was the one who forged the evidence and sent it to the principal anonymously,”
For a moment, the hall went stiff with silence. Everybody seemed to have frozen at once.

Then suddenly gasps flew around, quickly and faster than beams of light. The whole school went into uproar as the students started murmuring amongst themselves. Glances were exchanged here and there and if possible,
