Warning Label

In the days following Jasinda found despite the sizzling chemistry between them, she and Leo had a lot of things in common. They both spent time watching movies, playing chess, or just reading in the same room.  Leo wasn't some illiterate thug, he was a smart man, and he knew business and money better than anyone. Which is why he was confused on why he didn't have his.  "Malcolm it's been two f*****g weeks! How long you expect me to sit on my ass while I feel like I've been played?" Malcolm undid his tie as his one-nighter pawed at him, "Take three things into accountability, one: you got out earlier than anyone thought you were, we thought you had another six months. Two: He's working on it, but it's a hold up with everything going on, but don't worry. Because three: Would I let you get played?"  Leo had calmed down and let Malcolm soothe his nerves.  After ending his call, Leo found Jasinda in the living room prepping the table with snacks, drinks, and food. The couch had tons more pillows and blankets and he smiled as she stood in nothing but sweatpants and a sports bra. "And what's happening here?"  Jasinda found the first Harry Potter movie, "Harry Potter marathon. I've never seen all of them in order or all the way through. Like actual beginning to end, and I never finished the books. So I guess this is the best time to do it, in quarantine where I have s**t else to do."  Leo plopped down on the couch beside her and grabbed a hand full of popcorn as the movie began, "I never saw it either, I'll watch too."  It was a weird bonding moment but Leo and Jasinda got hooked in the Harry Potter world and only took a break to pee and get more food. After completely binge-watching the eight movies in two days, they both crashed and slept the majority of the next day.  When Jasinda woke up the next evening it was to her mother calling her, " 'ello?" Rhonda immediately frowned hearing the grogginess in her daughter's voice, "Please don't tell me you're spending your time lying around and being fat?"  Jasinda sat up in bed, "I tired myself out from a hike and then a yoga session. But what's up mama?" Rhonda pursed her mouth in disbelief before sourly asking, "How is everything going?" Jasinda shook her head confused, "I'm sorry?"  Rhonda exhaled as she rolled her eyes to the ceiling, "With that convict, your brother had shown up to the cabin?" Jasinda winced at her mother deducing Leo to his past. But she knew it was going to forever be a thing.  Another reason she could never go there with him.  She'd always would have slept with a criminal, a convict, a jailbird and she didn't even know what his crime was. Which could be as disgusting as r**e or p********a, which of course was not in Leo's character.  But how well did you know a person? "Um fine I guess?" Jasinda said playing it smoothly. She knew telling her mother she and Leo were hanging out or had gotten a little too close wouldn't bode well. It'd end with her judgmental ass cursing up a storm and calling her Greek father, Juno, to yell some sense into their daughter.  Rhonda didn't like Jasinda's vague answer and pressed harder, "You're keeping your distance yes? Locking your bedroom door and remember the self-defense papa taught you!" Jasinda frowned deeply, "Ma Malcolm wouldn't have sent him here if he thought he'd hurt me. I'm fine and I barely see the guy. He comes and goes as he pleases and we stay to ourselves. It'll be fine for now."   Rhonda frowned was severe on her beautiful coffee face. Running a hand over her pearls, Rhonda stressed, "Yeah well your brother has never met a person he didn't think he could save. Just keep on your guard and if that criminal tries to get fresh, you hit him with everything you got and call the police."  Jasinda shook her head, "Mama you don't even know why he went to jail, Leo doesn't strike me as a malicious character. What happened to "never judge someone by their past, but by their character"?"  Rhonda hated hearing the old saying she used to her children. Looking as her husband came into the room, Rhonda hissed, "Well his character landed him in jail. Keep your guard up, men like him come with a warning label and dumb girls like you ignore them."  When her mother hung up, Jasinda shook her head, "I wonder why."  Sitting her phone down, she ran a hand through her hair and groaned as she went to take a shower. After getting out and getting dressed, Jasinda headed downstairs and found Leo had made brunch.  French Toast, eggs, bacon, and orange juice waited for her and she smiled, "Thanks." Leo grinned as he bit into his French toast, "It might be a little cold, I went to get you but it sounded like you were having an important conversation..."  Jasinda exhaled, "My mama was just asking me a bunch of questions and I just told her what she wanted to hear so she'd get off my back." Leo shook his head, "No I get it, trust me I've seen your parents at a distance...I know how they get." Leo smiled a little, "But thanks for trying to defend me."  Jasinda shrugged, "You're not your actions." Leo looked at Jasinda as she whispered, "Look you paid the price for what you did, I'm not going to keep making you pay for it. I trust in my brother and when he says someone is safe for me to be around, I believe him."  Leo looked at Jasinda happily, "Well that's a relief." Jasinda looked at Leo amused, "Besides, I'd beat your ass if you tried to come at me."  Leo c****d an eyebrow, "Oh really?" Jasinda smirked, "Boy I can lay your ass out flat. Don't play."  Both laughed and soon Leo had Jasinda up and they ran into the living room play fighting. Jasinda laughed when he picked her up and slammed her on the couch, but she wrapped her legs around him and pulled him down on top of her.  Rolling him over on to his back so they crashed to the floor, Jasinda gasped as Leo sat up suddenly. His arm came around her waist as he looked up at her with need. His eyes honing in on the sweet temptation of her lips.  Jasinda and Leo stayed frozen for a moment and just when he started to lean in, she stood and put distance between them. "I-i'm going to go check on something." Rushing off, Leo watched her go, his d**k pressing in his joggers protesting not f*****g the s**t out of Jasinda.  But Leo knew if she kept fighting it, the boiling question would eventually come to ahead. Will they or won't they?
