Chapter 2: Rejection

1264 Words
Jonathan lay next to the little girl; he looked at Cassandra with a small smile. Again, he recalled the events of last night when his body was in the power of this adorable little girl. "You've stolen my first night, little lady. The night I was supposed to spend with my future wife," he murmured, remembering how voluptuous the girl could be, making it difficult for Jonathan to resist Cassandra's onslaught. Before long, Cassandra began to squirm. Slowly opening her eyes, she moaned softly, her head still aching from last night. "I think I drank too much," she whispered. Suddenly, Cassandra rounded her eyes in shock when she realized that she was lying on the bed. What surprised her was that her body was naked. "Oh no! What happened? Why is my body naked?" she whispered to herself. Cassandra was really confused; she couldn't remember what had happened last night. "Are you awake?" asked Jonathan. Cassandra was dumbfounded; her pupils rolled back completely as she saw a strange man in front of her. "Who are you?" cried Cassandra as she pulled back the blanket to cover her naked body. She grabbed a pillow and threw it at Jonathan, hitting him in the face. "What did you do to me, huh? Tell me!" cried Cassandra hysterically. Jonathan rubbed his face roughly, then approached Cassandra with a faint smile on his lips. "Don't you remember, little girl?" he asked in a whisper. "Last night, you forced me to touch you!" Jonathan's lips carved a smile. "What?" Cassandra's face turned red, not just because she was embarrassed but because she was really angry, and she still looked confused. "Uncle must be lying, right?" "Why would I lie? There's no point, is there?" Jonathan's lips still carved a smile. "No way! You must be lying! I couldn't have seduced you! I'm sure it was you who seduced me!" cried Cassandra, not believing what the stranger was saying. Jonathan just smiled wider, then walked out of the room, leaving Cassandra in hysterics. Then Cassandra closed her eyes, trying to remember what happened last night. Slowly, the memories began to return. "It's true what that uncle said. I was the one who teased him! Huh, so embarrassing," Cassandra whispered as she tapped her forehead a few times. "I'd better get going." As soon as Cassandra got out of bed, she put on her clothes. With her werewolf powers, Cassandra moved quickly, exiting the room and sneaking out of the mansion. After a while, Jonathan decided to return to the guest room. He wanted to check on the little girl. However, when Jonathan opened the door, he was surprised to find no Cassandra in the room. Jonathan let out a long sigh, then chuckled. "That voluptuous little girl is gone," he muttered, shaking his head. Jonathan walked to the window, looking out with a calm gaze. "Who exactly is that little girl?" he whispered. "Why did she just leave after she gave me such pleasure? She must take responsibility! She's taken what's mine without exception!" Jonathan then contacted his personal assistant by phone. "Go to the club I went to last night and find out who the little girl was that I helped!" Jonathan ordered, not wanting to know. He had to know the identity of the little girl; he felt responsible for what had happened to her. "Yes, Mr. Nathan." *** Cassandra had returned to her pack, although she still wanted to spend time in the human world. As Cassandra walked toward the forest, she saw a sight that made her heart hurt again. Cassandra saw Kendrick, her lover, making out with Aletta under a large tree. Kendrick and Aletta enjoyed the kiss until they realized Cassandra's presence, who was standing not far from the tree. Cassandra chose to remain silent, hiding behind the trees. Although her heart was deeply hurt, she didn't want to make a scene. "Ken," Aletta said in a spoiled voice, her tiny arms wrapped around Kendrick's neck, "when are you going to leave Cassie?" She asked, "Aren't I the only one who deserves you? You know, right? I'm the daughter of an Alpha, and you'll be the strongest Alpha when you marry me!" Kendrick smiled slyly, his hand stroking Aletta's hair. "You just relax and wait for the play date, my dear." Cassandra felt her chest tighten at those words, which felt like a knife piercing her heart. Unable to hold back her sobs, Cassandra left the place. Cassandra arrived at her home, where she was immediately greeted by her mother and father. "Cassie, we need to talk," said her father. "What's wrong, Dad?" asked Cassandra. "Isn't today the anniversary of your relationship with Kendrick?" her father asked. "Yes, Dad," replied Cassandra. "Didn't Kendrick promise you that he would propose to you soon? But why didn't he come last night? And where were you last night?" Cassandra was silent; she bowed her head. "Cassie, you have to marry Kendrick. It's the only way to improve our bloodline, and our family won't be looked down upon," her mother added. Cassandra could only nod weakly. She knew what her mother and father said was true, but her heart couldn't accept the fact that Kendrick had betrayed her. "We need to go see Alpha now," her father said firmly. "I will demand his promise to marry you." "But, Dad...." Cassandra was forcibly pulled away by her father and mother. She wanted to tell the truth. Not long after, Cassandra, her mother, and her father arrived at the Alpha's magnificent residence. "Alpha, I came here to talk about marriage," Cassandra's father said. "Didn't Alpha promise to marry our daughter? And exactly today?" Kendrick chuckled, looking Cassandra up and down with a dismissive look. "CIH! Don't dream!" said Kendrick. "Your daughter is only an Omega! Not worthy of me, uncle!" Cassandra remained silent and looked down, but her hands were clenched tightly into fists. "But, Alpha? You promised to marry Cassie," Cassandra's father started to get angry. Kendrick's father came over, with a smirk on his face, to his son Kendrick's side. "Forget the deal!" he said sarcastically. "Ken will only marry a daughter of Alpha blood, not a lowly Omega like your daughter, Wilson!" Cassandra's mother and father immediately fell to their knees before Kendrick and Kendrick's father. "We beg you, Alpha!" "Hahaha... you guys are so shameless! I will never, ever marry your daughter!" "ENOUGH!" shouted Cassandra, who immediately helped her father and mother up. To this end, Cassandra's father could no longer contain his anger. "You bastard!" he shouted, immediately attacking Kendrick in rage. But before Cassandra's father could reach Kendrick, the werewolf who was the Alpha's accomplice moved quickly. "You must die!" he shouted. The two werewolves threw daggers that struck the bodies of Cassandra's father and mother. "DAD! MOM!" screamed Cassandra, running toward her parents, who were on the ground with blood flowing. "Get up! You can't die, Dad! Mom!" she cried out. She knelt beside her parents' bodies. All the werewolves in the pack gathered, watching the humiliation unfold. However, no one dared to stand up to Kendrick. Kendrick grinned at Cassandra sarcastically, "You don't deserve me, Cassie. Remember that!" Kendrick had had his fill of revenge on Cassandra's father, who had killed her mother back then. Cassandra felt like she was drowning in a sea of sorrow; she was completely helpless to fight back. Her tears flowed endlessly as she hugged her parents' lifeless bodies. "You'll regret it, Kendrick!" whispered Cassandra. "I wish you'd die a horrible death like my mom and dad!"
