Marienne opens the curtain, letting the sunlight streams golden through the window. On the bed, lies a beautiful figure that is still sleeping. Crying her heart out for the whole night is sure tiring. She put her hand on Eleanor's forehead, checking if she caught fever and then give off a relieved smile.
"Thank God, you are healthy."
Not wanting to wake Eleanor up, Marienne slowly dismissed herself from the room.
Upon her dismissal, Eleanor opened her puffy eyes but didn't moved an inch from the bed. She let a sigh out and close her eyes again.
Yesterday was a heart wrenching day. A letter with a royal seal came for her again and the content was filled with the details about her fiancé, Sir Winter Von Ulrich. It was said that he is ten years older than her, making him 25 this year and for his overflowing splendid achievements, he will be rewarded a marquess title and a princess as his marchioness. The betrothal ceremony will take place on Princess Eleanor's debutante ball which is in seven days. The King specifically ordered her to present herself at her debutante ball that will takes place at the main palace. Eleanor wasn't given any choice nor she can escape herself as from her debutante day as the queen's lady-in-waiting will come and assist her on her preparation.
"knock knock"
" Princess, are you awake?"
Marienne's voice shut her thought.
"Yes"
Marienne came into the room, smiling while holding a beautiful blue dress.
"You have a guest today, Your Highness. May I help you with your bath now?"
She stood beside Eleanor, with a smile that is so obvious filled with excitement.
"Sure, who is the guest anyway?"
"She is Viscountess Maria, the queen's lady-in-waiting that was appointed to assist you."
"I see, let's not make her wait any longer then."
No matter how heartbreak she feels right now, she cannot let her emotion wins against her. People might say she is very well-mannered and rational but what can she do, she don't even have the right on her own emotions.
