Before anyone could react, Bethany tilted her head playfully and planted two more kisses on Jackson’s cheek.
“It’s fine! I know you don’t mind, right, Captain?” she said with a mischievous smile.
Jackson sighed, pointing toward the floor. “If you don’t let go, those shrimp won’t stay fresh.”
Only then did Bethany and Lisa notice the two large creatures still twitching on the ground.
“Whoa—Captain, you actually caught lobsters! We’re eating like kings tonight!” Bethany licked her lips dramatically, already imagining the taste.
“They’re not lobsters,” Jackson corrected with a laugh. “Found them in the lake—they’re more like freshwater prawns. But they’ll do.”
