Chapter 8: Setting Up a Temporary Shelter

Jackson stood up and took a couple of steps forward.
Suddenly, Bethany turned back to look at Jackson with worry, as if concerned he might peek at them while they bathed!
“Don't worry, I'll keep watch over the fire for you!”
He said, adding another branch to the fire, muttering with a hint of reluctance.
“All three of you at once, I can't take it!”
The events of the afternoon had left the women with a lingering fear, and with the surrounding darkness, they were worried about danger. Walking along the beach for a dozen steps, squatting down, the moment they peed felt so relaxing!
Sitting by the fire, Jackson suddenly heard a hissing sound coming from the women's direction, and his mind involuntarily wandered.
Jackson resisted the urge to turn his head and look, focusing all his energy on weaving the net!
He couldn't leave the impression of being a creep; at the very least, he had to be a decent guy!
In the darkness, sitting by the fire, Jackson couldn't see the three women, but they could see him!
“Hmph, the naughty guy is still a decent guy!”
Bethany couldn't help but praise, but after finishing, she didn't get up immediately, “Lily, do you have any paper?”
“Did you poop?”
Lily asked, showing a disgusted expression, sniffing the air, Bethany shyly glared at her, “I just feel uncomfortable not wiping after peeing~ Do you have any paper?”
“In this situation, what do you need paper for! Hmph, you little rascal, you're so fussy!”
Lisa suddenly thought of something and awkwardly poked Lily with her finger.
“Did you bring that?”
“Which one?”
Both were puzzled by the question, Lisa bit her lip lightly, a bit embarrassed to speak.
“It's... Aunt Flo! If you count the days, it's around now! I usually have a heavy flow!”
“Ah, me too! What should we do! I'm not due yet, but Lisa, now that you mention it, I'm getting a bit anxious!”
Bethany pouted weakly, looking to Lily for help, who also looked troubled!
“This is a major issue!”
Women's menstrual periods are troublesome, especially since they're used to the super convenient "stickers" for periods!
As they walked back, Bethany weakly held onto Lily with one arm, her head resting on Lily's shoulder, while her other hand tugged at Lisa's clothes!
“Just thinking about days without period supplies is stressful!”

Jackson's net was almost done, and when he looked up, he saw three beautiful women with graceful figures and worried faces gracefully approaching him…
Lucky me, Jackson gazed at the beauties, secretly feeling that fate was still fair to him.
"It's getting late, let's all get some sleep! Tomorrow morning, let's see if we can fish something out of the sea!"
Tossing the net bag aside, Jackson yawned. "No need to add to the fire, I've put in a few big logs. I'll add more if I wake up in the middle of the night!"
The three women exchanged glances and lay down on the other side of the fire. They were instinctively worried that Jackson might take the opportunity to do something inappropriate, so they didn't sleep at first. However, as time passed, they gradually couldn't hold on and fell asleep in a daze!
In the middle of the night, Jackson added two more dry branches to the women's side!
The three women lay with their backs straight, their slightly rounded bellies and uniformly beautiful legs visible. Jackson could slightly tilt his head and see the scenery between their legs!
It was definitely a test of his resolve, but Jackson, though inexperienced, had his principles. Even if he had a reaction, he had to endure it!
The cost of his endurance was a sleepless night, leaving him with dark circles under his eyes by dawn.
Under the sunlight, they all woke up, sat up, and looked at the rising sun on the horizon, the azure sky, the deep blue sea, and the fish occasionally leaping out of the water!
Bethany joyfully raised her hands and hopped to the seaside. "Wow, it's so beautiful!"
The other two women were also influenced by her, their gloomy mood vanished, and they took off their shoes, walking barefoot towards the sea!
"What a beautiful nature!"
"Yes, I've traveled the world, but I've never seen such beautiful scenery before!"
While the three women were marveling, Jackson used the net bag to scoop up some plastic bottles, with airplane debris and metal fragments floating not far away!
Jackson's eyes lit up with excitement. This was good stuff, and there was quite a lot of it. Jackson even saw some ladies' handbags!
"Splash!"
Jackson placed the net bag on the beach and jumped into the sea, retrieving the metal pieces one by one, and the drifting handbags as well!
After coming ashore and resting for a while, he took the net bag and spear, preparing to dive into the sea to hunt for prey!
"Where's Jackson?"
Bethany looked around but couldn't find him, running barefoot to Lily, anxiously saying.
"Lily, Jackson is gone! Do you think he might have left us and run away?"
Lily also noticed this issue, but she remained calm and reassured her. "He might have gone to look for supplies! Look, his clothes and coconuts are still here!"
Bethany pouted and stomped her foot. "Hmph, if he dares to leave, I'll... I'll drink all his coconuts!"
Lisa burst out laughing, gently tapping her round nose, and said affectionately, "You goof, Jackson is probably out looking for food. We should also find something to do so we don't hold him back!"
Lily squinted, feeling a newfound admiration for Lisa's unpretentiousness and her gradual adaptation to survival here. She had underestimated her!
Jackson had quite a haul from the seabed, catching a yellow-spotted fish hiding in the rocks and sand, three large star bass in his net, two small ribbonfish, and he also gathered a good number of sea snails and crabs from the rocks!
Once ashore, he collapsed weakly onto the sand!
"Jackson?"
Lisa and the others gathered many dry branches from the nearby forest, daring to venture inside to find a few sturdy ones, and it took half an hour to carry one back!
After doing that, they walked along the coast to see if they could find anything useful or edible!
"Wow, so many fish! You're amazing, brother! What are these?"
Bethany playfully pouted, gazing at Jackson with admiration and carefully wiping the seawater from his forehead!
"You guys take them back first, and I'll teach you how to prepare them later! I'll collect some water to dry out and make sea salt!"
Jackson instructed weakly, having swum in the sea for almost two hours, his skin wrinkled from the water!
After resting for an indeterminate time, Jackson got up and staggered to find his "harem"!
"Are you okay?"
Lisa was the first to notice Jackson, and noticing his unsteady gait, she hurried over to support his muscular arm, and Jackson suddenly felt dizzy!
"What are these for, brother?"
Two women crouched on the ground, sorting through the contents, three women's bags were opened, revealing some lipsticks, small wallets, bank cards, tissues, cash, and a blood-stained pair of pants!
"To make pots and bowls! Rip the pants, they'll come in handy!"
"Ah? No, there's blood, I'm scared!"
