Eleanor’s POV Two weeks later Huffing, I sprinted faster, not letting myself stop. This was it. I was so close. The edge of the forest line loomed ever nearer. I just had to make it. I quickly looked behind me and saw five other wolves chasing me. I had the lead, but it was getting shorter every second. They were fast, which is why I needed to be faster. Step, step, breathe. Step, step, breathe. I reached my hand out to cross over the territory line. I felt the back of my shirt pulling. No, please not again. I didn’t know when I’d get another chance. I had to escape. I had to just make it to the tree line, because then I’d be safe. I’d be safe from them. From the men in dark robes. I never saw their faces, but I felt their glee when they hurt me. I just had to make it. And then I woke up
