Today is the day of the summer solstice ball, according to Juliana when every king wants to pick a bride or a chosen mate this is the ball that is held but the real meaning behind this ball is a show of power or alliance. So now that I’m the soon to be luna of the night moon pack anyone that picks a war with the crescent pack has indirectly made the night moon pack their enemy.

I wanted to style my hair but what am I supposed to do with a hair as full and lengthy as this, I didn’t have to worry about something as trivial as this before but tonight I really want to make jaws drop and also make an impression.

I decided to use my phone to search for how to style a long and luscious long hair but when I was halfway into the video I realized that I would need some certain equipment for this to work out, I started to check the cupboard for a hair straightener when I stumbled upon a pink small book which read “ crystals dairy”. Before I could stop myself I started flipping through the book and I immediately became intrigued

“Today Is the happiest day of my life and the worst day ever ,I found my mate today and I wasn’t even expecting it because I’ve not even reached 18 yet…I’m just 17. “So I finally decided to strike a conversation with my mate and I was really embarrassed when he backed away from me(p.s I’ve been his bully for quite a while now) what was I expecting anyways, my mate is the lowest in rank of all the wolves-an omega,him and his mother are in charge of doing the laundry and also the gardening in the pack house.I think I scared him away, again.”

“I decided to try again after two days and I think I got lucky because he didn’t give me that irritated look,as he was tending to the flowers we had a little chat and he told me that he loved books, I felt the need to tell him something personal so i told him about my habit of journaling I told him that I have to write everyday because it keeps me grounded, I would have asked for his number but I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have a phone.”

“This is the first time that my dad hit me, I was called into his room and he confronted me about being close to an omega boy, he told me not to get too close because he’ll get me dirty and I just burst out and told him that he was my mate, he gripped my neck and made sure to enunciate every word, he told me that my mate is only the alpha of the night moon pack and no one else and when I started wailing that it wasn’t true, he took his belt and hit me with it twice than handed me a black card for shopping.”

Well things are certainly getting interesting, I was about to flip to the next page when someone burst into my room,I quickly put the small book back into the cupboard and pretended to look for something, I guess I’m already used to her coming into my room unannounced, I should start locking this door often but I just know that I wouldn’t hear the last of it.

“Oh my gosh Crystal, the king of ithicana throws a big party solely for you and yet the star of the show isn’t even dressed yet” she placed her hand on her head, a sign of frustration.

Uhhhhh drama queen, I couldn’t help rolling my eyes.

“So sorry mum but since this ball is specifically for me, doesn’t that mean that I own the show and I can as well come at any time that I please and besides I’ve been looking for the perfect way to style this hair so that when I step into the ball I’ll steal their breaths away, that’s why I’m taking so much time.”

“Crystal, I wanted a special stylist to style your hair and do your make up but you refused and now you are stuck trying to figure it out. You know what I’m done, I want to see you down there in twenty minutes and nothing less”. She said and left

“I’ll be down in minute” I shouted after her. I just know how to push her buttons

I lay the down the three dresses that I bought at the store and the obvious choice was the red long dress with a slit and a crisscross pattern at the back leaving little to the imagination.I chose a modern dress because I wanted to go against everything this ball stands for.

I found the hair straightener in the cupboard and I managed to curl my hair into soft wavy curls then I held it up with little pins, I only left a little part of the front to dangle free, when I felt like everything was in place I started with my make up, I spent the last two days perfecting my no makeup makeup look and it came out flawless, my eyeshadow had this sultry look to it and the eye liner gave me this sassy look, I lined my lips with a a black eye pencil then I put on a light pink matte lipgloss to doll up the look.

I put on my dress and paired it with a silver clutch bag, silver heels and silver jewelries with ruby crystals, when I looked into the mirror I was shocked myself, I looked incredible and I knew deep down that I did a good job so the remaining minutes I had left I used it to rehearse the dance for the ball.

When I felt ready, I walked down the stairs and I saw that even my mum did a double take and Julian who was just talking to my dad clamped her lips shut, they all stared at me in awe and this is why I spent close to an hour dressing up.

I went to meet Juliana and she gave me a side hug so as not to smear my makeup and she didn’t look bad herself, she’s even looked more of a princess than I did.My dad gave me an approving nod and my mum although in love with my look she just had to make it known that my dress wasn’t ball appropriate, well good thing I gave no single f**k.
