Chapter 1: Bah HumbugIt was a wet, windy, winter’s day when Chloe stepped into the hell hole that was her local mall decorated from floor to ceiling in sickening Christmas horrors. Red, green, and gold monstrosities, such as crispy, dry-looking tinsel, and giant baubles hung from every possible fixture, which was quite frankly a reminder of why she didn’t date men anymore. Nobody enjoyed a saggy ball, surely?
In the distance, she spotted a giant Christmas tree with those big fake present boxes scattered around the bottom. So tacky. But there was more, way more. Huge, blinding reindeer made of fairy lights, stubby penguins cluttering up the walkways, and to complete the cheesy ensemble were a handful of nutcracker figures which were just colossal. They definitely didn’t need to be that big
