“Leia, you can sleep on the inner side. I’ll take the outer half,” Martin said as he arranged their sleeping spots. He couldn’t let a girl sleep on the floor, but he didn’t want to either—so he split the large stone bed in half. “Okay,” Leia answered softly, nodding with obedience. She climbed onto the inner half of the stone bed and lay down quietly. Martin followed, moving gingerly to the outer edge, feeling awkward beyond words. Thankfully, the bed was big enough—each had their own space, no need to touch. “Get some rest, Leia,” Martin murmured. “Mm,” she replied faintly. They both closed their eyes.
