Alpha Aaron P.O.V

At the party I watched some girls dance away with their newly found mates. Two of my members found their forever here. I was happy for them but my heart pained. I'm yet to find my mate. I was enjoying the rest of the party when suddenly Gage let out a blood curdling scream. "Where's my Luna? My bond broke. Where is she? He kept hollering until he sniffed the air and took off with remarkable speed. " Should we follow", Alpha Beau asked. Alpha Lou stepped up, " I say the party is over. Let's go guys I don't wanna be here when that Alpha releases his wrath", he states. s**t, I need more time I thought. " Dom pull back, something has happened here. Our informant is dead". Soon as I said that a simultaneous WHAT came through the mind link.

Everyone started leaving and my team had no choice but to pull back or risk being caught.

I made sure I was the last to leave and as I walked into the forest I saw two patrol men carrying a body. "Maribel", I whispered. I sat there for a moment gathering myself when I saw Gage dragging a young girl by her hair. Her aura was strange. Usually all females have a regular yellowish aura but hers was a dark pink almost red. Only time an aura differs is if it's your mate and I don't feel a pull towards her. I can hear Gage accusing her of killing his Luna and making schemes. I need to go and regroup and get some recon on the strange girl. I wanna help but if she really did kill our informant I'm not gonna meddle. I ran and shifted into my black wolf and took off through the forest.

Alpha Gage P.O.V

I can't breathe. I feel like everything around me is fake. Before I locked myself into the room I managed to link my beta and told him to handle the investigation. My Gamma is making preparations for my Lunas funeral. All I could do now was stare at the wall.

Once I finally came to three days later, I went to see my Luna before we sent her off to the moon Goddess. Looking at her she was so beautiful. they had her in a gorgeous white dress. her blonde hair down her sides. I broke. I finally let it all out and cried for hours until I couldn't. Time came and we had her buried in the family plot. As soon as that was done I stomped to my office to call the morgue. "Hello Cold Mountain Morgue", the M.E answered. "This is Alpha Gage. Barron's body is to be burned and out of my sight by night fall", I hissed.

He didn't have family anyways. "Yes Alpha", was all I heard before I hung up. " Chase get up here", I mind linked. He wasted no time and getting to my office. "Yes Alpha?" he approached. " Make sure those girls are hidden. I don't need any unwanted attention until the shipment comes in. I have a feeling those Alphas were up to no good, they all left pretty fast for a fellow comrade like myself just losing his mate". He exited the room.

Lina P.O.V

I was Cold and hungry. I don't know how long I was here until I heard a voice next to my cell. "You get used to the darkness". I look over but of course I can't see anything. " Who are you?" I ask. Before she answered the light flicked on and Beta Duncan was there. " Are you ready to talk murderer? What it looks like to me is you and Barron were planning an escape and our Luna caught you." I stared completely dumbfounded. " That's not what happened", I tried to explain.

" Alpha will be happy to know you're not cooperating", he says walking back out.

Alpha Gage P.O.V

I was drinking my sorrows away in my office when my beta comes in. "Alpha". I look up so he knows I'm listening. " Lina is not cooperating. She still denies all the allegations". I sat there thinking for a moment. Finally, I had a way. " I know what will", I smirked. " I'll be down in ten minutes. Make sure her neighbor is ready too". She's gonna learn what withholding information from me does.
