Silent Garden. Charles reassured Ruth, then stepped out of the room, looking weary. The butler approached him with a report, "Sir, at the villa, your wife has signed the papers and left, but she didn't take the check." Charles frowned. He hadn't expected Selena to leave without taking anything. Since losing her memory, she hadn't worked outside and didn't have any savings. How did she plan to survive? The butler hesitated before adding quietly, "I heard that before she left, a man came to pick her up... They seemed quite close. It appeared to be the second son of the Hunt Family." Charles's expression darkened, followed by a cold laugh. No wonder she didn't want his money; she had already found someone else. He had always thought Selena was genuinely well-behaved, but it seemed he had been wrong. Thinking about how she had deliberately sent a message to Ruth, almost causing her to have a relapse, his expression grew even colder. He ordered in a chilling voice, "Get the divorce finalized quickly. Also, have the villa cleaned out." The butler was about to leave when Charles stopped him, his expression inscrutable. "Look into what's going on between Selena and Henry." How could a woman with amnesia, who had been reclusive for years, know a man like Henry? Was she just that good at pretending, or was it all a scam from the start? ... In the presidential suite, Selena stepped out of the bath and lazily sprawled on the couch. Her slightly damp hair fell loosely around her, adding a touch of allure to her already stunning face. Yet, her eyes were so deep and piercing that they were hard to meet. Seeing her emerge, Henry, who was on the phone, quickly ended the call and handed her a cocktail. He suddenly noticed the injury on her forehead, and his eyes turned cold. "You're hurt? Who did this?" Selena waved it off. "Just someone insignificant. What's the situation at home?" Henry knew that if she didn't want to talk about something, no one could make her. He rolled his eyes and swapped her cocktail for a glass of juice. "After you disappeared, the old man fell ill. The second branch of the family, backed by the old lady, tried to seize power. But then the third branch suddenly brought back a pair of twins, and they're quite formidable. Now, they're evenly matched with the second branch." Selena's expression only changed slightly when she heard about the old man's illness, then returned to calm. "What's the reaction from the outside world?" "At first, they were just watching, but since you haven't shown up, some factions are getting restless and starting to test the waters. Those two branches are also trying to spread the news of your disappearance." At this, Henry's face darkened a bit. The internal struggles within the Green family were none of his concern. As long as Selena returned, those people wouldn't pose a threat. However, if news of Selena's disappearance spread, it would surely cause turmoil within the Green family and attract hostile forces eager to hunt her down. This was precisely why they hadn't dared to search for Selena openly. During this time, he had spent considerable effort keeping those restless individuals at bay. Selena's face remained emotionless as she asked, "Who pushed me into the sea?" Three years ago, she had attended a family cruise party. While taking a breath of fresh air on the deck, she let her guard down and was pushed overboard. She was later rescued by Charles Hall but lost all her memories. "It was Emily from the second branch. She claimed jealousy drove her to act impulsively. The old man wanted to punish her, but the old lady protected her." A hint of sarcasm flickered in Selena's eyes. Her grandmother, biased to the point of absurdity, would eventually exhaust the last bit of goodwill from her grandfather. Henry chuckled, "It's a pity for the old lady's efforts. Not long after you disappeared, Emily was in a car accident. Whether she'll wake up for the rest of her life is still uncertain." Selena narrowed her eyes slightly, showing no emotion over Emily's fate. Her fingers tapped lightly on her knee. "Keep my return a secret for now." Henry was taken aback. "You're not planning to go back?" "Let's wait and see what tricks they can still pull," she said, her lips curling into a smile that didn't reach her eyes. It was time to deal with those ungrateful hyenas who dared to bite the hand that fed them. ... At Nightfall Bar. "Did they really divorce?" George asked, surprised. "Selena agreed?" Those close to her knew how deeply Selena loved Charles. Back then, she willingly married him despite knowing he was pressured by the McKinley family's demands, enduring all sorts of difficulties and disdain to be his trophy wife. She gave her heart to him after marriage, so why would she agree to divorce so easily now? Charles suddenly recalled the news from the butler that Selena and Henry had checked into a hotel and hadn't left. His expression darkened. "We had an agreement before marriage, and besides, this is what I owe Ruth." George looked at him with an expression that said it all. Robert wasn't pleased with what he saw. "What, are you feeling sorry for that woman? Or are you saying my sister can't compare to an orphan with no parents?" If it hadn't been for Charles's mom interfering back then, his precious sister would have become Lady Lambert. How could they let that woman take the rightful place of the original wife? George chuckled awkwardly, caught between two friends. What could he say that wouldn't upset either of them? But thinking of the woman with the gentle and serene smile, he had a feeling that Charles would regret his decision one day. "And don't think she's any good. She deliberately sent cozy photos to Ruth to provoke her. If Ruth hadn't been gracious enough to let it go, I wouldn't have let her off so easily!" Robert said, glancing at Charles. "I'll make sure she apologizes to Ruth," Charles promised. Robert finally seemed satisfied. Downstairs, Selena walked into the bar with Henry's VIP card, instantly drawing whistles and howls from the crowd. Her wavy hair cascaded freely, and her tight sequined dress accentuated her curves, making her look even more alluring. With just a touch of lipstick, her face was a mix of innocence and desire, incredibly tempting. She didn't head to the second-floor private room. Instead, she started dancing to the energetic beats right in the main hall. Before long, a circle of men trying to hit on her surrounded her. Rob went downstairs to find someone and immediately spotted the beauty at the center of the dance floor. His heart skipped a beat, and he made his way over, squeezing through the crowd. "Hey there, gorgeous! I've got a party going on upstairs. Want to join?" Selena glanced at him and instantly recognized him as Ruth's older brother. In the past, he had often mocked or warned her because of Ruth. Clearly, he didn't recognize her now. With a playful smile, she lifted her chin slightly and extended her hand to Rob as if granting him a favor. Rob, feeling triumphant, grabbed her hand and led her upstairs. The others could only watch helplessly as the beauty was whisked away, unable to do anything about it. After all, not just anyone could go up to the second floor. "What's your name, beautiful?" Rob asked, looking at her captivating face, feeling more and more intrigued. "Ginger," Selena replied, casually taking in the decor of the second floor, keeping it short and sweet. Rob was about to ask more when his phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, he smacked his forehead and quickly turned to Selena. "I forgot I need to pick someone up. Just head to the biggest room at the end of the hallway." Selena waved her hand, indicating she understood. Robert turned and headed downstairs, but Selena didn't go to the private room he mentioned. Instead, she made her way up to the third floor. As she turned the corner, she was met with the sight of a tall, well-built young man surrounded by a group of bodyguards dressed in black. At first glance, the young man's striking beauty was breathtaking. Unlike Charles, who exuded a cold arrogance, this young man had an air of cool detachment, his eyes sharp and seemingly untouched by the mundane world. Yet, his noble demeanor carried an intense, heart-pounding sense of pressure, his presence overwhelmingly strong. This man was dangerous!
